I stayed here for just over a week in June and was very pleased with everything during my stay. The hostel is reasonably priced, quiet and very clean. The manager was very friendly and helped with any problems I might have had. It's situated just outside the city centre but it is still within walking distance or you can get... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at Minto for three nights. We arrived late but this was not a problem at all. The room was small but well equipped with a small fridge and tv. Only disadvantage was that the window couldn't be opened. Moreover, my girlfriend woke up at night because of the traffic noise from the busy road in... More

I stayed here alone for only the weekend. It was definitely a place I'd go back to. I arrived late but was greeted without any fuss by Jen, one of the managers. She was friendly and very welcoming. There was no barrier of customer-staff member that you might find at other hotels or hostels. My room was clean, with a... More

I stayed here for three days on a recent trip to Brisbane. Great management - unobtrusive but helpful when needed. Quiet and relaxed. Big kitchen for cooking. Great views of the city and close to transport to get into the city and Southbank. Bruno an exceptiionally cute dog also occassionally makes a visit. Would recommend to anyone looking for reasonable... More

Very clean and a very good wifi connection! Only stayed one night but would stay again. The location is a little out of town but not too far if you hire a bike. The kitchen was really big for cooking your own meals and everyone seemed to hang out together on the terrace.

Minto was our first hostel stop at the start of our travelling trip around australia. After talking to other people who we're staying there, the agreement was it's one of the best. I'd say we picked a good first start as it's quiet and fairly relaxing. You don't often see people around but when you do everyone's friendly. Upon arrival... More

This is the best hostel I have stayed in so far. The house is just beautiful, the beds are comfy, and sitting on the front patio in the evening with a drink chatting with the other guests is one of the highlights of the day. The hostel seems to attract guests of the considerate type, which is a very welcome... More

Absolutely loved this place...set in the lovey area of Highgate. The accommodation is an old colonial property....with all original features, which I loved. The room was great, very light and airy and quiet at night. Ideally situated for the Southbank area...roughly 10-15 min walk. Transport links are good, there's Southbank Station on Vulture St...10 min walk or the bus stop... More
