Beautiful mansion with great view on Brisbane skyscrapers from groundfloor and first floor. Bernadette, the owner, is very friendly. For families with babies I would recommend the Cottage room, which is a lovely small house in the garden, with all comfort. Definitely will renew the experience.

We used this venue for an adult birthday celebration choosing the high tea option. We were very satisfied with the service, fare and atmosphere. A walk through the venue provides some interesting displays to view. We did not avail of the accommodation so we are unable to comment on that aspect

Upon arrival we were greeted by our hosts, Bernadette and Nicholas and shown through the main communal areas of Franklin Villa and the gardens. This traditional Queenslander has been lovely restored by its owners to reveal its original splendour yet updated to be a contemporary, comfortable guest house combining modern conveniences with old-world charm. We booked The Master Suite which...

What a beautiful place. Restored perfectly. We attended a 40th birthday celebration and would highly recommend it to anyone. A family member hired out the whole place for the night which included 6 bedrooms the use of the grounds, pool, kitchen etc. We though the prices reflected good value for money.(Although we did not stay many other family members did)....

Franklin Villa is a 125 year old Queenslander over a number of levels with period rooms and wrap around verandahs. Amazing views to the city! We stayed in the blue room, full of period peices and a 4 poster bed. Aircon was very welcome as was the ability to wander throughout the various rooms and verandahs - breakfast on the...

Franklin Villa is a lovely old house decorated accordingly. Our room was old but clean and comfortable. The gardens were lovely and the pool area well done. Loved sitting on the deck although concerning when guests using bathroom on deck wandered out in their underwear. Great location, easy walk to the City and Southbank. We enjoyed our stay and I...

We arrived here after a very long flight, we were met by Bernadette who made us feel welcome from the start. We stayed in the white room for 3 nights stay. The place is very clean and tidy, with a historical feel and a very calm ambience. All in a very chilled stay in a great location close to the...

There's no question that this is a fabulous, heritage listed building with all the charm of the late 1800s but that's about all it has going for it. We stayed in the Garden Cottage which was just adequate. The bed and pillows were like staying in the spare room at an elderly aunts' place...lumpy and tired. We were surprised that...

Dear Klari, Thank you for your appreciative comments regarding the history of Franklin Villa which we have lovingly restored since purchasing the house 23 years ago. Sorry to hear you were disappointed with the garden cottage as it is our most popular room, due to the privacy it offers being separate from the main house. In regards to the hanging...
