This hotel is very old, fairly smelly due to all the moisture (climate & air/con). Rooms are fairly big, & the beds are somewhat comfy. The staff were ok & the food was average, but for the price it was definitely not worth it.

Not a good place needs a big upgrade, the rooms have mould and visible damp patches, the air con leaks and the bathrooms are dirty and mouldy. The food wasn't too bad tho, but the staff are not very helpful

Unfortunately, we visited Darwin in the peak season, so this was the only one we could get. At around 150 AUD per night way overpriced, as it was more like a Hostel. So were the hotel guests. Even the female receptionist was not really friendly. Location: not too bad. About 20 min walk to Mindil Beach and 30 min to... More

Stayed here in August at the time of the Darwin Cup. The hotel was full as were most of the Hotels in Darwin. The room we had was very basic. The problem we had was the aircon leaked. The Hotel staff were not interested in helping us out. They didn't send anyone to investigate the problem. All night there was... More

I don't know where the (relatively) good reviews came from. This has to be one of the worst hotels in Darwin. Service virtually non-existent, reception desk was grimy, bed seemed like it was 20 years old. No evidence of even basic maintenance

Do not stay here if you are female! Creepy old guys coming down to the pool and zooming in on lone women. At first glance the room seems nice then you notice bubbling paint, lights that won't work. The bathroom is horrifying and under no circumstances should a woman attend the Punters Bar downstairs. Dodgy,sleazy..local drunks favorite haunt. The staff are... More

This hotel was clean, staff friendly, and over all not too bad. I think hotel is in need of some "TLC" Pool area, while clean, needs some work, on brick work around pool, the pool itself, needs some updating. I think we were told, or read somewhere its 10 min walk into town. Wrong good 20 min walk minimum. Taxi... More

Basic hotel, clean, good staff. The room was supposed to have had 2 queen beds - it didn't - just as well we didn't need two!. Bed and pillows soft. Decor etc dated Unfortunately it is now mostly populated with workers so only evening meal upstairs was the buffet which we didn't want - so no rooftop views for us... More

Quiet, clean, I stayed here 3 nights, and just needed a place to sleep as was working. I would guess a lot of other people use this hotel the same way -breakfast was very quiet I went in at 9, apparently the busy time is much earlier. Rooms are clean, and OK, if a bit dated - there is a... More
