This property exceeded every expectation. The quality of the accomodation food facilities services and tours were simply perfect. The food quality is easily compared with fine dining experiences in Melbourne. We asked for a few little changes and nothing was ever to much trouble. We highly recommend the private dining experience ..... especially on a clear night. We stayed 2...

Seeing Uluru in person is definitely a once in a lifetime must and even if there were a few rough parts of the trip, it was worth it all for the fantastic stay and excursions. The experience begins right when you land and the staff is there waiting to take you. We were quickly whisked away and our luggage would...

This is a very high quality resort, the only place to stay. In Ayres Rock. It's expensive but then everything is paid for - fine dining, open bar and great sightseeing adventures. Just a few points : The Rangers are excellent, friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Bianca and Caroline - thanks. The trips, to avoid the heat they are...

Dear londoneagle Thank you for sharing your recent experiences at Longitude 131. We're pleased you enjoyed what the Lodge offers in terms of design and facilities, as well as the included comprehensive tours and friendly (sometimes magic!) interactions with our accommodating team. We have noted your comments regarding the wifi connection; this must have been a frustrating aspect and we...

What a fabulous place staff food and all tours. A warm and friendly place that cannot do enough for you. Little extras as dining on the dunes or pretty much anything you need is not to much for the friendly stafff. Rooms pretty impressive for a glamping experience and the swags on your own balcony you take it up a...

Longitude 131 is well located. From your bed you already have a fantastic view of Ayres Rock. The room is tidy and the bar fridge is fully equipped with everything that you can wish for. The staff go well and above expectation - everything is done correctly and everyone is well organised. My favourite was the dinner under the stars...

The reviews on this site are generally very high and very well deserved. Expensive, yes, however everything is included, meals, beverages, tours etc. It is full on with tours to the rock, Olgas, & Field of Light. The highlights were many; evening canapés & drinks at the rock, dining under the stars and tours. The Fields of Light was probably...

We stayed 3 nights in longitude and I will always remember this place. The resort is uniquely located and all tents have a direct view at uluru. There are fireplaces on all terraces and you can watch the stars during night from a bed on the terraces. A truly unforgettable location. The longitude offers a high quality restaurant, everything is...

Yes, a costly way of seeing Uluru. But truly amazing. The lodge puts you and the rock at the centre of the universe and before you can even articulate a wish, it is fulfilled. Great appreciation of the original owners and the history of the place, super knowledgeable guides, friendliest ever team. Waking up to see uluru, sleeping outside under...

The team and the facilities at Longitude leave nothing to be desired. The itinerary is a great mix of alone time and group activity. Two days is sufficient but three is ideal. It would be impossible to go back and stay anywhere else!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Longitude 131° offers immersion in the Australian outback, a true sense of stillness and beauty in this desert landscape, rich in cultural heritage and history. Explore the World Heritage listed wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta and discover some of the ancient creation stories of the Anangu, the land's traditional custodians. Spend time exploring the diverse flora and fauna of the desert and come face to face with this irresistible land with the lodge's personally guided adventures. In the spirit of the original pioneers, stay in canopied pavilions that seem to float over the rust-red dunes. Luxuriously contemporised, today's explorers are cosseted from the elements in surrounds that favour refined comfort over ostentation. Classic furnishings meld with indigenous textures to evoke a sanctuary of earthy elegance. A private glass wall yields unparalleled views of Uluru (Ayers Rock). Exceptional cuisine celebrates a fusion of modern and local flavours. Enjoy an outback sundowner at the convivial open bar in the Dune House and dine under a glittering canopy of stars at Table 131°. Quieten to the night sounds of the desert and be mesmerised by the movement and songs of an ancient culture by firelight. Timeless and enriching, Longitude 131° promises a transcendent connection with this spirited land. ... more   less
