Longitude 131°, the luxury desert basecamp at Uluru-Kata Tjuta, offers an essential experience of Australia’s spiritual heartland. Central to a stay is discovery of the World Heritage-listed wilderness explored on a series of guided excursions and connection with an ancient culture. Dining celebrates native ingredients and produce sourced from around the nation, offering a real taste of Australia. Relax after a day’s exploring in a luxury tent complete with contemporary furnishings, artworks by local indigenous artists and an array of mod cons. Unparalleled views of Uluru play out from the end of the bed or on the balcony from the warmth of a custom-made swag unfurled in the cool night air. Retreat to Spa Kinara for an indigenous-inspired treatment or drink in the sunset on the Dune Top with jaw-dropping views to Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

We have been home a few weeks now and can’t stop talking about the magical experience we had at Longitude 131. The team that welcomed us and delivered exceptional service at lunch and dinner absolutely made this trip for us. The tours were excellent (especially with the pop up bar for a sneaky champers and canapés). THANKYOU to Dan for his knowledgeable and down to earth approach to all of the tours he accompanied us on. Bec , Andy and Eric were all super stars and made us feel so welcome. There are so many little added extras and surprises that just took this place next level. You know when you have found something special when you have true goosebump moments. Table 131 is amazing - compliments to the chef and team for delivering off the chart dining at every meal. If you get chance do a heli ride do it , it was so good. Ps .. this is a photographers paradise , guaranteed to put a smile on your dial. We can’t wait to try another Baillie Lodge experience!!

Such a wonderful review, thank you Mary-Lou, for the many highlights mentioned. Creating those goosebump moments are what we're all about and we're thrilled the memories continue to endure. It's always a great sign when you leave only to plan your return, or in this case to experience a sister property in the Baillie Lodges collection. We hope to welcome you back - one way or another - soon. Best wishes Ben, Lou and the Longitude crew

We new this place would be amazing but it exceeded all our expectations. Our tour guides were amazing their knowledge of Aṉangu country is truely remarkable. The resort is amazing with exceptional staff to cater for your every need and the food and wine selections were first class. We didn’t expect it to be as cold as it was..it was .5c when we started our base walk of Uluṟu just after sunrise so pack some layers

Palya (thank you!) for sharing your fabulous review. We love to hear that you especially enjoyed the informative commentary provided by our passionate guides who lead each tour. All guides must pass an extensive Charles Darwin University accreditation course before they are able to guide in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and the Anangu creation stories they share, along with the region's natural history allow an even deeper connection to Country. It's a great tip for others reading to pack layers - we recommend it year round as once the sun goes down (or before it comes up!), the temperature in the desert can be quite cool. We note your NT itinerary also included Bamurru Plains - it sounds like you had a fantastic trip exploring the Red Centre and the Top End! You're part of the Baillie Lodges family now and we hope to welcome back to the collection soon. Travel safe, Team Longitude

Spent three amazing nights at this place and had a brilliant time. The staff are all amazing and nothing is too much. The food is.....well let's just say.........if you want to know......then book! Stunning views from each room looking directly at Uluru. Sit back and chill, as we did, or immerse yourself in the natural beauty and ancestral history of this magical land.

Thank you for your wonderful review, Grant. You've hit the nail on the head - there's plenty to explore in the Red Centre (and our included itinerary of signature experiences covers all the must-see sights). But if you're after some dedicated indulgence, Longitude provides it all on a plate, along with some exceptional cuisine, as you discovered! We note you ventured further north and stayed at Bamurru Plains (a co-member of Luxury Lodges of Australia). Such a great combination providing two very different experiences of the Northern Territory. We hope to welcome you back to Baillie Lodges soon. Until then, palya (thanks!) and travel safe.

Yes it's expensive, but it is a 6 star experience with unobstructed views of Uluru. Longitude 131 has exceptional food, service & staff. Itineraries & tours worked like clockwork without a feeling of being herded, and there was never even a hint of a hiccup or delay. Having access to private viewing areas and a well planned itinerary meant we were not subject to the large tour group numbers while on-site. It's the little things, like being welcomed 'home' after a tour with a cold towel and lemon & ginger iced lollipop. And rounding a corner at the base of the Rock to be greeted by staff offering canapés and cold drinks. All staff were wonderful but special mention to tour guide Dan who is a raconteur extraordinaire, and Kirstie in the day spa.

This place is special! Great food, beautiful room, exceptional staff and you can’t get a better view of Uluṟu! The spa treatment was a nice way to end the trip! We spent 5 days wining, dining, swimming and just looking at the view! Activities are included in the cost but as we did it all 18 months ago we decided to relax! Would I come back for a third trip? Yes I would the staff treat you like family and I feel like I’m going home each time! It’s pricey but so so worth it! And I love the little lunch pack they give you when you depart, such a thoughtful surprise!

I just spent 3 nights at Longitude 131. It was a unique and unforgettable experience. The grounds and rooms are beautiful. The food is exceptional. The wine and cocktail selection is immense. I have some dietary allergies and they customized every menu for me throughout our stay. The daily excursions are so well done. And throughout the stay there are so many small and unexpected surprises that are provided that just make the experience that much more enjoyable. But the best thing of all about Longitude 131 is the staff. I don’t know how they do it, but everyone we interacted with was interesting, kind, and genuinely strives to make our experience exceptional…. And they succeeded. Kudos to their team.

Dear David, Thank you for your kind words, we're very grateful for your heartfelt review. Led by our wonderful lodge managers Ben and Louise, the team’s brand of classic Australian hospitality is unforgettable and our people are truly what keep our friends returning for more. Central to a stay at Longitude 131° is our included itinerary of signature experiences – each carefully choreographed to encapsulate a real sense of place in Australia’s Red Centre – its ephemeral sights, unique sounds and ancient stories… Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts and we hope to welcome you again one day. Have just returned from a 5 night stay - and what an amazing stay it has been. From the time we were picked up from the airport the service and attention to detail was superb. This is our second stay with the property now part of the Baillie's family. All tents facing the rock. What a view to wake up to!! What to say except that all experiences were great. Staff enthusiastic and exceptional nothing was too much trouble. Dining under the stars, Table 131 was a brilliant experience topped off with swag and eco fire set up on the balcony with with 3 different ports and pop corn to finish off the night under the stars! Brilliant! Thank you to Kirsty at the spa for our wonderful and relaxing massages. Special mention to Chef Ryan Ward and restaurant manger Bridie for simply amazing meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all fantastic - fresh produce handled with care to bring out their natural flavors. Jet star cancelled our initial booked flight home so we stayed another night and so glad we did. Thank you Ben, Lou and the team at Longtitude.

This resort is so perfect in every way but for us what made it so special is that from any part of the resort "the Rock" is always within view and given the effort required to get there I'm so glad that we could watch and enjoy this ancient monolith at anytime of day!! The staff are incredible, so accomodating and friendly. The "tents" areas lovely with every comfort considered and provided . We can highly recommend all the included activities as well as the Grand View Sunset Helicopter flight. We originally booked the 4 night Classic Platinum Package but when Jetstar completely stuffed up our arrival date we had to reduce our stay to 3 nights. I think 4 nights would have been ideal as the 3 night stay didn't allow for much down time.

Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your experience with us at Longitude 131. The strong, resilient presence of Uluru is indeed with guests throughout their stay - even from the tent's ensuite shower, thanks to a clever sliding mirror! Our team are personally invested in ensuring an unforgettable experience for each and every guest - we're so pleased you enjoyed their warm and genuine hospitality. It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed our signature guided experiences and complimented them with a scenic heli trip. Taking in the natural icons of Uluru and Kata Tjuta from above is a wonderful contrast once you've explored them on foot - the bird's eye view of the vast outback frontier is nothing short of extraordinary. We hope to welcome you back to the Baillie Lodges collection sometime soon. For now, palya and safe travels, Team Longitude

Having just returned from an amazing stay at Longitude 131 I haven’t stopped telling my family, friends and colleagues that they must put it on their bucket list. From the pick up at the airport to the drop off, everyone at Longitude 131 do their very best to make your stay enjoyable. The location is unbeatable, the staff are amazing and the restaurant should be hatted! They looked after my dietary requirements without any complaints and at times, my husband was jealous of my ‘special’ courses. The swag under the stars with a fire was truly incredible, with all the comforts of your luxury tent/room mere footsteps away. Lastly, many a pleasant afternoon was spent at the plunge pool in the Dune Pavilion with views of both Uluṟu and Kata Tjuta waiting to be enjoyed with a glass of wine in hand from the free bar. Thanks again to everyone at Longitude 131 for making our trip so special!
