But a tired room at that. If you want to stay near Uluru your choices are limited. Hopefully the renovations going on at Desert Gardens will find there way down the street. My concern is about room security. The lock cylinder for the entry door was noticeably loose. A check of a few other doors showed that several more entry...

I think the extreme weather takes a toll on the exterior but give the rooms a chance, they are modern and comfortable and lovely and the beds are a dream. Great air conditioning (necessary in that climate!). Super super breakfast buffet. Nice staff.

My husband & I stayed here for three nights as part of the Luxury package which included three nights accommodation, Field of Light dinner, helicopter ride over Uluru/Ayers Rock, a dinner at their buffet restaurant, breakfasts and transfers. This was a really great deal & we very much enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is rated 5 star however I...

we were really looking forward to our stay here but on arrival it is more 4 star than 5. The reception area and bar are nice but the rooms and ours was a superior room are dated and the balcony to the room overlooked the garden and pool needed painting and sprucing up also you have to vacate by 10am....

Did the field of lights, sunrise at the Kara Thursday, walked the valley of the winds, sounds of silence dinner, walked at Ularu and basically relaxed during the hot part of the day. Outback Pioneer for lunch, afternoon drinks and snacks at sails resort, bring your swimmers to cool down after a day out exploring and sight seeing, will be...

Five stars in Australia is similar to between 3.5 and four stars in Europe. Great hotel, without a shadow of doubt, but the facilities are just not perfect. Long walk to the rooms, slow WiFi, no sparkling water in the bar, poor bathroom. On a more positive note, a very good night's rest and an excellent breakfast.

I haven't stayed in any of the other Uluru hotels so can't compare, but this is supposedly the best and most expensive. It's a decent 4 star hotel. The pool is ok (and much needed in the heat!) with a pool bar and food that is ok (club sandwich not great in my opinion though) The indoor bar and restaurant...

We arrived at Sails in the Desert after a very early flight from Cairns. We had to wait several hours for our room. Our room would not lock, and when someone came to fix it, he mentioned how the room was ready for over 2 hours. (even though I was consistently asking if our room was ready). Also, we were...

Hi ike2012016 Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay and I am very disappointed to read that your customer service experience did not meet expectations. Our advertised check in time is 3:00pm and while we certainly do try to provide access to rooms prior when the hotel is experiencing high occupancy it is unfortunately not always possible....

Let me be straight, it was a fantastic hotel. The room was lively, swimming area and snacks at the bar was top notch and breakfast was very close to perfect. There is one tribe in the bathroom that whoever paired the taps with the sinks needs to be fired. There is not bough room to get your hands underneath. Stupid...

I found it better than expected. The pool is very good after a hot trekking around Uluru. The staff is really very kind and helpful. My only disappointment is the missing complimentary water in the room, you're staying in a hotel in the middle of the desert after all, and i think it would be kind to have some complimentary...
