Each time I return to Sydney this is where I will stay. This hostel is a home away from home.. With such a family caring environment. The staff are awesome.. Free wifi and free breakfast is always a bonus as a traveler! My fav in Sydney!

First of all, the dorm's bathroom was extremely dirty. The glass that covered the right side of the shower had a substantial amount of mold on it. In addition, the floor was constantly soaking wet since the shared bathroom had an open shower. The dorm room was also small. The first night I was there I noticed about 10 little...

From the moment you walk in the door you can feel the family atmosphere. The staff is helpful and very welcoming and warm, eager to answer any questions you have. The hostel has everything you need, free hot delicious breakfast, free wifi that works very well, fully equipped kitchen, that gives you free food twice a week, tv lounge room...

I didn't think much of this hostel. It wasn't particularly clean, the kitchen was small and had a tiny bit to wash up in. The room was a mess (although that's not the hostels fault) and the people already there had used up all the trays to store stuff under the beds. There was a small room off the bedroom...

I stayed just 2 nights there, good situation next to the train station and Coles. There were a free breakfast but I woke up to late, so I don't know if it's good. Free wi fi but didn't work on my phone. It's 4$ for washing machine and 3 for a dryer. But I needed to pay 3 more because...

I lived in this hostel for a few month and it was the best time of my life. All the people are so nice and you feel like home after the first day. There is a daily free event in the evening which was always alot of fun!! The best thing is the daily free breakfast from 8 to 11am...

The people in this hostel make you feel welcome you into their little family as soon as you arrive and its always emotional when people leave, I made incredible friends for life here. There is a free breakfast every morning, which is way better than any I've had in a hostel before (toast, eggs, beans, cereal, fruit, pancakes). The wifi...

Staff very friendly; clean; comfortable; great location (center); excellent WiFi connection (10/10); excellent breakfast "buffet" (10/10)! Good information to visit and explore the city; cheap laundry service; possibility tours; Excellent value for money! Lovely hostel fiquei num quarto de 10 pessoas geniais, limpo e tudo que precisei... O pequeno almoço é mesmo muito bom (tem de tudo)

No disrespect to the staff here as they were pretty helpful and friendly but stayed here for 3 nights and it was grim. Website says newly renovated 2015 - would hate to have seen it prior to this as the kitchenette is tiny, dirty, small area for washing up with lack of dishtowels. Despite following the general rule of hostel...

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighbourhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
