Wow! Absolutely fantastic hostel. Amazing location, extremely helpful & friendly staff and very clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet considering the brilliant location. The staff made us feel extremely welcome and were very knowledgable on local attractions & information. Will certainly stay here again!

I stayed at this hostel for one night since I had a sleepover at Sydney international airport. The hostel is very convenient for this purpose. It's just by the train station so you can travel easily to/from the airport. I stayed in a 4 female share. The bedroom was nice and clean and there was one more girl sleeping there....

Hostel is so centrally located you can't go wrong. Have stayed in the railway carriages both times I have stayed here & never had a complaint. Perfect for being close to the airport still as the station is only round the corner & takes 13 mins on the trains.

So, sometime ago, the Sydney Transit authority decommissioned a train platform at Central station, and somehow, YHA Australia swooped in and transformed it into a hostel. Honestly, that was a stroke of brilliance. The location is amazing. You get out of the train at Central station, and only a few platforms across is the hostel itself. All the facilities are...

I spent five days at this hostel and I had a great time. I slept in a 8-bed railway carriage dorm. My room was just next to the train platform and during the day you could see trains coming in on the other side of the platform and people walking by just outside your window. Very little noise though, I...

Amazing experience of a first time staying in a hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful, cheap lockers to rent while I adventured around Sydney after checking out, clean facilities, and couldn't get a better central location! Wished I stayed an extra night. Thanks Railway Square YHA.

Clean hostel everywhere, bed quite comfortable. Shower very big, clean. Lots of floor space, big kitchen, enough facilities not to have to wait for other to finish. Internet a ripoff at $5/day or $10/3 days. Breakfast food and drinks cheap e.g. $3 tea. Bring your own padlock; enough lockers but they sell padlocks for $10 each. Daytime lockers available at...

The staff were very arrogant and put out when I asked them for help. The room stank of weed but I guess that was luck of the draw.. Would definitely go to another one though there's loads better ones. You had to pay for wifi and the kitchen area wasn't very clean. It didn't have a very homely feel at...

This place is the nicest hostel I encountered in Australia. So clean and modern! It's very large, but handles it well. The only thing that made me sad was paying extra for wifi. I also would like to comment on the location. It is very central on of course convenient to the train station. However, I honestly would have liked...

Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices.
