The hotel is located close to shops and restaurants. Train station - King Cross is just around the corner. Staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable. It is reasonably clean but attention to the cleanness in the bathroom require, particularly the walls, toilet bowl and floor. A ventilation fan in the bathroom will be helpful with air circulation....

Had two nights here in August. Discovered to our joy that we had a room with superb views across to the harbour bridge and opera house. Just perfect! The room was quite basic but clean and had everything we needed. The self-service breakfast was pretty good and excellent value for money. The staff were really helpful, giving us access to...

We stayed at Ibis budget only for one night. It is rather small for 2 adults and 1 child. Can't open your luggage once the sofa bed is fully open but close to Coles and Woolworth. Walking distance to St Mary Church and Hyde Park. Recommended for someone who does not want to spend more than $150 per night for...

Staying in this hotel at the moment. The rate is reasonable and because of that, I've just extended my stay for another night. Location is great. Short walk to Kings Cross. Ask for an upper level room to get a view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. The room is small, but more than adequate if you're just looking...

This is a budget hotel so you do need to keep that in mind when planning to stay here. Location wise, it's a nice 20 minute walk from the Pitt St main shopping street. It is close to the red light district so walking around late at night especially if you're a single female is probably not super wise, however...

For an inexpensive place to stay, I highly recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who greeted us when we arrived was very courteous and helpful. Our room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. We had a view of the harbour bridge from our room. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank Amy V

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
