This hotel is more like a hostel and would suit those people who are on a budget and are really only going to be sleeping there. It's a shared bathroom facility and there is a common room in each area to make tea and coffee. Location is great though because it is right in the middle of the city and...

For a start I don't know how they get away with calling this a hotel when it's clearly a backpackers. Location is great its 5min walk to town hall train station. I booked the double ensuite room and was surprised it was actually clean and very quiet. I think maybe that the room I had might have previously been a...

Stayed here in preference to a hostel and it was clean and comfortable. It is a good location to explore the city and, given it's purpose as an overnight base only, we had no complaints and considered this a good find at a very reasonable price.

Stayed here on two day trip from Melbourne, we payed $95 for double room with two single beds, and it is what it is! Found the facilities to be pretty clean and was quiet during our stay. Was a nice an easy check in and check out. Best part of the hostel is the location which is central to everything,...

Looked for a cheap hostel type place to spend a week in Sydney sightseeing etc. Got to reception and was waiting for service for 15 minutes. Got the key, our room was away from the backpackers section but immediately entering the hallway en route to our room the heat will hit you. Lack of any air circulation and the room...

1st impression, not bad for a backpackers. Very near to the city centre, central station, paddy's market, darling harbour [walking distance]. Also in line with the free CBD shuttle bus [555] so can move to Circular Quay quite easy along the busy George Street. Halal food is very near since there are 2 kebabs outlet downstairs, KFC just around the...

My name is Zachariah. I am a frequent guest of the George Hotel. It is a lovely place. The hotel is close to all amenities. All the rooms are very clean. The price of the rooms are reasonable. The shared facilities are convenient and the receptionists are very friendly and welcoming.

Basic accommodation which I found satisfactorily priced for a single room in the middle of the city. To enter the building, you go up a stairs and the receptionist is behind a hatch a bit like a teller in the bank. Very strange. There is a $20 deposit for your key which is standard is a lot of budget accommodation...
