An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.

The location is the best of this hostel, situated in a cool neighborhood, full of cafes, pubs and restaurants (try the thai Tom Yum). But our room (5 beds female) was very hot and a little bit smelly. The toilets also weren't clean and a little bit tired. The kitchen is well

We stayed here for 3 nights after having an awful experience with a hostel in the centre of Sydney. It was exactly what we were after. We had a twin room on the ground floor. It was really quiet and staff friendly. The decor was a bit tired but all was clean. The beds were

Could not have been more pleased with the location of this hostel as Glebe was a charming neighborhood full of historical houses and fantastic restaurants. I stayed in a private single room and the room was very clean and quiet with a sink and a small closet. The room also had a

4 bed room, clean, nice kitchen, really nice and helpful staff, met lots of cool people there, close to glebe markets, just a cute place to chill out (not too much for party) and see a different side of beautiful sydney!

I have stayed in both the double private room and the 4 share room many, many times. The location is absolutely awesome, and I have great sleep every time I stay. The place remains consistently clean and friendly, but sometimes the reception is a bit luke warm. It has a high

The streets immediately around the hostel are limited parking during the day but usually unlimited from 6pm. Or try a few streets further away for all day unlimited parking.

Hi Adam - there is a microwave and cooktop rings, but not a conventional oven. Also large fridge, bench top etc - everything you'd expect in a YHA hostel kitchen.

Hi Kathleen - you can check out at any time that suits you. You will have paid on arrival or via booking, so all you need to do to check out is drop your sheets in the basket and the room entry card at reception, and you can be on your way!

Hi Lyndell All the rooms in Glebe YHA face outside, not internally as there is no courtyard. Some rooms are on the front whilst others face a very quiet back lane. But that part of Glebe Point Road is pretty quiet anyway as it is beyond the busier shopping area. There are 3 person rooms. You can see the prices on our website -- you need to look at the dates you are interested in as the prices do change through the year. If you want to book the whole 3 bed room, I suggest you call or email the hostel direct as at the moment just the individual beds can be booked online. But they'll be able to help you with your enquiry. Look forward to having you at our YHA.

Je voudrais connaître le prix d'un lit. Je resterais 2 à 3 mois.
Hi Roy - all our prices on are on our website - just google and you'll see. But there are weekly rates for long stays - just email the hostel direct and they can give you that price as it depends on the time of year you want to stay.
