Wonderful selection of beers, fresh on tap. Friendly and fast service even when they are busy. Definitely one to visit to soak in atmosphere, particularly on the outside seats on a sunny day. And the pork pies are pretty good.

Popped in for a"brew" after doing some research on the net prior to our trip and was not disappointed.Amazing selection of beers on tap, busy lots of ambience so good we went back twice. Nuff said as they say..go and soak up the atmosphere. We didn't eat but the food coming out of the kitchen for the diners looked great. See...

We spent a week there, can't recommend this highly enough. The Lord Nelson is in The Rocks, the oldest part of Sydney. It's a great location, very close to the Bridge, easy walk to the Opera House and Central Business District. The hotel is upstairs from the pub, no elevator, but worth the trek up a few flights of stairs...

An iconic Sydney pub with craft beers and a lovely atmosphere, the Lord Nelson has everything you could want in The Rocks and Millers Point. A great spot to charge your batteries if you're a tourist and it is just like coming home if you're a local.

Visiting area and stopped for lunch. Quite busy, but some customers that had several tables pulled together moved closer together and let us take the 4 seats on the end. Place food order at the bar. My husband tried the "pies" with smashed peas. He said was quite tasty. I opted for the fish & chips. Several rounds of beer...

We visited on a busy Friday evening. It is a good English style pub. The beers were good and the food was excellent. There is an expensive brasserie upstairs. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. We had a good time.

We were looking for a new 'home' in Sydney as The Menzies (our usual home) has closed. This is totally different but we really enjoyed our 5 night stay. We didn't eat there but the meals all looked good in the bar area. It was always buzzing & had a lovely friendly atmosphere. Despite the bar noise which we could...

We went to The Lord Nelson with great expectations, given the glowing write-up in our guide book. While the beer was excellent, the food was OK, but certainly not the "pub grub" (good wholesome food freshly made). It was busy with many tourists, but certainly did not meet our expectations of an old English pub.

If you are in Sydney and plan a trip to check out The Rocks area, this place is a must see stop. Historic building with rich history, really well priced good quality food and seriously sessionable beers made in house. Accommodation also available.

We were recommended by friends to sample the pies and beer. The pub was very dark inside, which might pass as character. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good range of beers made in house. The menu was limited, with the prices cunningly written as words not numbers. We selected the home made beef pie with...
