We really enjoyed our stay here, and it was very affordable for a Sydney hotel. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful and moved us to a larger room to accommodate our children. We also enjoyed the quiet, trendy neighborhood, and though it was a bit of a long walk to some of the more popular tourist sites, the bus...

We stayed at the Manor House for the weekend with a bunch of friends. Its up and down. Some aspects are fabulous, some are incredibly disappointing. We were very surprised to find the underwear in the photo attached in our wardrobe. We reported it to the staff and the response was that they had 14 rooms to clean that day...

I stayed at this hotel for one night as it was walking distance to St. Vincent's Hospital and associated research institutes (Garvan, Victor Chang, Kinghorn) where I had business. My only complaint is that the bed seemed to be sunken on one side. Otherwise, everything was great, and even with the quality of the bed in mind, I still think...

The Manor House is located in Darlinghurst in a hip neighbourhood. The busy Flinders street wasn't really noticeable from our bedroom. The hotel is in a old mansion, so it has lots of charm walking through the hallways. And then each room has its own charm as well, I guess. Our room (the "hall of mirrors" was a good size,...

We stayed here for 1 night after the One Direction concert. The hotel was in the perfect location - just a 10 minute walk away. The room we had was a good size with 2 queen beds and a small but clean and functional bathroom. The beds were very comfortable (probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in!) and...

Eddie and staff go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and are always willing to provide suggestions on what to see and where to go. Felt more like I was staying with good friends rather than at a hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and definitely will stay at the Manor House on my next visit to Sydney.

Firstly this would be struggling to hold its 4 star rating. It's getting a bit tired. The room was overall quite good and bed was comfortable. The bathroom had quite a mould problem. The guy at check in was really good. Explained the local eating options and very helpful. I would stay here again, but maybe not my first option.

Great place to refresh your spirit in the middle of the city. Thanks to Eddie and the rest of the staff who made my stay very enjoyable. Fabulous bed. I'll be back and will be happy to recommend it to anyone.

I had a great experience at Manor House Boutique Hotel last week. I really appreciate how the staff members are willing to take an extra mile to help their customers. Being a nice boutique hotel, I'm sure you are not coming in with an expectation of facilities of a 5 star hotel. But to quote what was said by the...

Good, location but with limited parking and dated decor. Breakfast was shocking, if your idea is a slice of toast and canned fruit, this will be right place. Website shows pool, that no longer exists.

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
