Stayed due to central location, yet delighted in how quiet also. From the moment we got out of our taxi, all staff involved were friendly, efficient and helpful. Room was lovely, in room service quick and enjoyable. Only shame was we only stayed one night, look forward to staying longer next time.

We enjoyed our three nights at this hotel while on a tour. It is in a wonderful location right by Darling Harbor with many restaurants and a ferry stop. At night, the skyline is beautiful from the harbor. The hotel is also just a walk away from the Opera House, The Rocks area, Chinatown and other interesting places. Our room...

Good location -- walking distance to a lot of areas. Reception staff helpful and efficient. Good value for the money, although some would cringe from the cost (if you are not used to traveling overseas). Lots of restaurants nearby since Darling Harbor is only a block away by my standards.

This is a superb hotel ideal for anyone visiting the Darling Harbour area of Sydney. Our room on the 6th floor was spotlessly clean and had an excellent view of the waterfront. The particular room we had was a queen size twin, but other options are available. The bath was quite small but the walk-in shower was excellent and there...

We couldn't fault this hotel for the standards of service, and quality of breakfast. Staff very professional and friendly. The position is excellent for Darling Harbour ferries and to walk into the city.. once you have negotiated the best pedestrian routes around the expressway. 2 little niggles... no complementary bottled water in rooms..although you can get this at the front...

We needed a hotel within walking distance to the Capitol Theatre, and we like to try different hotels every time we stay in Sydney CBD, so we chose the Parkroyal. We stayed in Room 1020 which is on the top floor overlooking Darling Quarter, the Western distributor road and Darling Harbour. Room was a good size, King size bed which...

Very accommodating when we turned up early from the UK. Excellent breakfast. Absolutely great location. If you walk to the end of darling harbour you can catch a ferry around to the circular harbour to see the Sydney Opera house. I'm a fussy traveller I really recommend this hotel.

The park royal is a great hotel. This is the second time we have stayed here and it was beautiful yet again. They delivered our bags to our room while we checked in. We didn't have a great view on this trip but was still a lovely room! Nice and clean. The breakfast is delicious and worth getting included in...

Unfortunately, we booked a city view room and ended up facing a brick wall at the back of the hotel. Very disappointing. Our room was dark, but the kids room overlooking the freeway at the front of the hotel was much brighter. Nice modern lobby, friendly helpful staff and well organised valet parking. Hotel is great location for city and...

Location wise is really good as it is overlooking the harbour and it is at the city town area which is 3mins walk to the Town Hall train station. The rooms are good as we are given a complimentary upgrade too, to a darling harbour room which is great to wake up every morning seeing the darling harbour :) (Thanks...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
