Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.

Perfect location near Darling Harbor only blocks from the Aquarium. The concierge recommended a restaurant on the water that was incredible. We are still talking about it! The point being that the hotel knew about it. Walking distance to the Botanical Gardens, Circular Quay a

It is a well run hotel in a great central location. The buffet breakfast is most enjoyable. Extremely friendly staff. A great nights sleep. I used room service twice and it was quick and very good quality food.

this hotel in York St is close to Westfield shopping, QVB, theatres. Reception first encounter was efficient but unsmiling. We left our luggage at around 12.45 and luggage had been delivered to our room upon return at 4pm. Reception and concierge desk were friendly and helpful.

My friend and myself only stayed in this beautiful hotel for 2 nights but what luxury! A beautiful open reception area with various restaurants opening up from it. Apparently an old department store in it’s day. I would highly recommend this hotel for being close to the centre.

Hi, have been looking at hotels closer to Circular Quay by the Grace looks a much nicer hotel than the other options. Can you advise if it is an easy/flat walk to Circular Quay/Bridge/Opera house as my partner sometimes has mobility issues. Will also need to get to Overseas Passenger Terminal with large cases, so is a taxi best option for this ? Kind regards RH
Hi - it certainly is a nice hotel in a part of Sydney that is quite accessible to many areas, such as Pitt St mall and other local spots. The walk to Circular Quay / Opera House is pretty good in terms of accessibility - you will find that the key physical mobility challenge are some of the steeper streets to navigate. There are some closer hotels to Circular Quay that are more on the flat side of things, but if you're both ok with some sloped footpaths that are not too bad - I've navigated them with colleagues in a wheelchair quite readily - you should be just fine at the Grace. And yes, a taxi or an Uber is your best option to get to the Overseas Passenger Terminal if you have large cases. It is not a long walk, but with large cases you may be best to get transport.

Could you please inform me of the cost of overnight onsite parking.
Sorry, no I didn't use the parking, as I was only there for weekend, but managed to get around on foot.

Have read that refurbishment of rooms is on going where are these rooms positioned? Is it best to request an interior or exterior room
Dear elizabethbgordon, Room refurbishment works are currently on level 10 of the hotel which will be completed by early July. We will then start on level 9 which will be completed by the end of September. Following the completion of level 9 there will be no work until approximately April 2019 when we will start level 8. Each floor that is being worked on is closed off to guests so you will not find yourself staying on a floor with ongoing work. The vast majority of the work is non disruptive and guests moving around the hotel would be totally unaware that we have any refurbishment work going on. The small amount of noisier work required is done during the middle part of the day when all of our hotel guests are out and about enjoying their day in the City and beyond. There is no work going on in any of the public areas of the hotel so you will not get any sense that a refurbishment is currently being undertaken. There is no need to request a specific room allocation due to any floor being worked on is entirely closed to guests. Thank you for your question and I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you soon. Andrew Allen Hotel Manager
