Even with the small room this is a lovely old fashioned hotel, I recommend you ask for an upgrade, rooms ending with 03 are fantastic, but the best thing by far about this hotel is Armindo, he would have to be the best manager of any hotel, so accommodating and courteous- nothing is too much trouble, he is a true...

The location is great - very central. Check in guy was professional and polite. Room was tiny even with just me on my own. Had Tv fridge mini bar but very cramped. Bathroom also very small only one scooped dish in shower not enough space for amenities and leaked badly- floor was saturated. Breakfast was good - Louise was very...

Average to good hotel. Pros: Good customer service at the reception desk. classic entrance hall. Good bed, and plenty extra pillows. Good internet. Very closed to every where you want to go. Newspapers provided. Cons: Tea, coffee and biscuits only. No water bottles as welcome pack. Surprise charge $3 per day for using safety box. It was not mentioned on...

Our group (10 rooms) all found the service to be very friendly and caring. The rooms were of a high standard and in keeping with a Heritage building Hotel. The meals were of a high standard. The accommodation, food and drinks were sensibly priced. The location is superb being right in the centre of Sydney.

The location was convenient as the train station and supermarket were close by. It was near the sights and it was pretty close to Chinatown if I'm not mistaken. The bathroom and bedroom were relatively clean and basic, but very small. It wasn't really a problem for me as I hardly stayed in my room. It had an old and...

The Castlereagh Boutique hotel is an eclectic hotel. The decor is from years ago and being such adds to the ambiance. The breakfast room was elegant and a la carte menus had lots to offer. Let me start by saying the rooms are quite small, when compared to other Australian hotels. However, if you have travelled to countries where the hotel rooms are standardly small (i.e. Japan), then you will be fine. There is still enough room for your luggage to be laid out nicely, and there was also a small table and chairs to...

Stayed here with my husband for a long weekend. Was a great location with easy few blocks walk from the airport train. Only 2 blocks from David jones and the other big shopping areas. Room was small but bed was comfy and all we needed as we were out most of the time. Friendly and helpful reception staff.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
