We spend the weekend celebrating a late valentine's day and we were really happy with everything. It was clean, spacious and had all the amenities you may need. English breakfast was good and the restaurant have a good sort of choices. The front office manager did everything to pleased us with our stay. Check in and check out was drama...

This historic hotel is beautiful, and the room, whilst a little on the smaller side, was beautifically kept and cleaned on a daily basis. The only issue was street noise at night. I was on the 9th floor and the traffic sounded like it was passing directly outside the window. This could be addressed without altering the external features of...

Have stayed here on three occasions and its consistently good. This hotel is in a great location in the city centre. The staff are friendly, breakfast is ok and they could do better. Please note that this place is an older hotel and don't expect five star service.

Quite small hotel in Sydney centre,5 mins from shopping,20 mins from the harbour, with ferries to numerous beaches inc Bondi beach, although pre paid buses also go to,Manley beach,Darling harbour,a nice am pm visit, many resturants, bars. The hotel is quite old fashioned with 3 lifts,1 very clunky, but a cheap central hotel.Would stay here again.

Don't bring a cat, 'cos there isn't enough space in the room to swing it. The en-suite has a sliding door as there's no space for one to hinge open. Yes, it is well located, yes it is 'Boutique' - but with only a small double bed, frosted glass in the window (and thus no view) it would best suit...

We stayed for one night early this week. This hotel has a lovely, 1930s atmosphere and is located very centrally in Sydney close to St. James station and the best David Jones store in Australia, within a station of Circular quay and the Sydney Conservatorium. The rooms are small but sparkling clean with a small work desk and coffee/tea facilities....

The hotel is virtually in the centre of the CBD, very close the the Town Hall and within walking distance of Darling Harbour, Circular Quay and the Opera House and other attractions. Staff were efficient and friendly. Room whilst only on the small size was clean and functional. Very good value and would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is conveniently close to everything in the Sydney CBD and walking distance to the main attractions like Circular Quay, Opera House, Pitt Street mall and St. Mary's Cathedral. We chose this hotel because of its location and also for its history, built in 1929 as a Masonic Lodge. On arrival, I found the lobby to be completely finished with a rich wood decore, clean and organized. The front counter staff were helpful and friendly. The elevator requires a room key to access your floor. The rooms weren't large...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
