An OK place to stay and still walking distance to the main center and shopping. No food on site however a cafe across the road open at 6.30am. But not open on weekends. Getting good quality food a challenge when the city closes down for the weekend.

A bit challenging staying here while renovations are underway, but staff are helpful and rooms are good. It'd be great if the windows in the rooms could open. Only one lift is operating, Location excellent and good to be able to charge back breakfast from Silks cafe across the road

Roaches in the shower. Shower head I had to unscrew and clean so water would come through. Came back to the hotel at 5:30pm to find my bathroom door locked from the inside and the light on. Reception had to come up with a screwdriver and open it. Then I discovered the toilet had been used and not flushed. I...

Dear Sekrg460, Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. As you have mentioned we are currently going through a large renovation, which we advertise across all of our online partners. We also offer a heavily discounted rate because of the inconvenience this causes. Construction is only during the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and...

I'm usually fine to stay in a Travelodge -- it's basic, clean and you know what you're getting -- but I'd never stay at martin Place again. A group of four of us stayed for work and although location and price was great, the standard was appalling (as in "please get me another room" appalling) and service staff seemingly not...

Helpful staff and convenient location near shops, parks and railway stations. Maybe with building works going on bit of a reduction in the room charges, but otherwise a very comfortable stay and would stay again.

Hotel is an easy walking distance to major sites of Sydney CBD and close to public transport. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and kept clean. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable about places in and around CBD.

Stayed at this hotel last week to attend a seminar and what a great find. Location is perfect with Martin Place train station approximately 100m away and a short walk to Circular Quay to dine out or to take in Sydney Harbour and all its attractions. Staff were more than helpful and although undergoing renovation the hotel still ran smoothly...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
