Staff need a refresher in customer service. The lady who checked us in seemed to be the only person who knew what that was, the rest gave us problems for answers. Very poor considering the price you pay and their once upon a time good reputation. I would definitely explore other options.

After an initial problem over our room, the hotel staff made sure that we were in a perfect room for our stay of 4 days up to New Year's Day. Whilst waiting for our room to be serviced ready to move in, we were given a complimentary drink. This was a nice touch, thank you Novotel. Our room was superb...

The service was excellent and we were spoilt for being members of Accor. The room had a brilliant view over the CBD. The hotel restaurant had very tasty food and superb service. The customer service manager, Michael, rang to let us know the room was ready and was very helpful.

You will love half the things about the Novotel on Darling Harbour and hate the other half. On one side of the coin you notice how lovely the staff are, how nice the reception area is, how good the bar and restaurant is for both breakfast and dinner/drinks and how great the location is. On the other side however, the...

Although the weather was dreadful, the view from the hotel room didn't disappoint. Staff at the checkin desk were super efficient and friendly. So many bars and restaurants to choose from ...most more than reasonably priced. I first stayed at this hotel when it first opened and although it has dated a little, the rooms are meticulously clean and great...

Booked a room for a family of 4. Website states 2 double beds for 4 person. Ended up the beds were super single, no way to fit 4 grown up adults. Spoke to the manager and he proudly replied: there's no where we stated that it's queen size bed. Playing with verbs now. I felt mis-selled. The manager also said...

Could not fault this hotel, their staff and all that encompasses Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour, were absolutely wonderful over the weekend. A very very special mention to Jamie Armstrong (Reservations Manager) who was so obliging and helpful. Jamie, you made our stay so memorable and all of the special little touches were so greatly appreciated. I could not recommend...

We spent our last night of our most recent trip to Sydney at the Novotel Darling Harbour. We initially were impressed at the price for a late notice booking and it got better....we trained in to Sydney from Glenbrook in the blue mountains planning to spend the day with family before they trained home and we stayed in town. This...

Yes it is in a great location right by Darling Harbour and a light rail station. For the price of my room, I would have expected my carpet, couch, and shower not to have stains one might find in a one-star hotel. Yes, I have photos and would submit them here if I could. Very disappointing. The lobby and restaurant...

This is the hotel that features in most travel brochures of Darling Harbor. From here you can walk to all the restaurants and shops and the Convention Centre. For less than twenty dollars you can catch a ferry outside the hotel and have the best views of Sydney - under the Bridge, alongside the Opera House and across to Manly....

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
