Room was a bit tired, smelt a bit old and damp but for the price it's one step up from a hostel so wasn't expecting to much. Location is great 5 minute walk to darling harbour and 5 minute the other way to circular quay. Reason for 3 out of 5 was because the fridge smelt really bad so couldn't...

Room was large and fully equipped. good central location to Sydney and the the Wharf area. Room was very clean and staff were freindly Unfortunatley the bed was well passed its used by date and needed to be replaced. This Motel sits between to busy roads and does not block out the road noise so early wake up with rubbish...

Location superb but whole place a bit jaded. Our bedroom was a good size, with good bed. Lounge and kitchen area generous size. Everything just old and in need of a lick of paint and a good clean. The most disappointing thing for us was the shower. We basically couldn't use it because the water was a trickle. After complaining...

This was an inexpensive big space which is all we were looking for... We usually stay at Meriton near central, but the saving was too great to do it... We didn’t expect anything fancy, and it was quite dated and run down... Definitely clean though, which is important... Double bed, small, but nice quality sheets... Bathroom, the shower has pretty...

Booked in for one night with my partner. First impression was great. The reception staff are fantastic. They allowed us to leave our bags with them untill the room was ready. I also requested a top floor room and they delivered. We got room 413. The lift and hallways are beautiful. The room is a good size. once in the...

I arranged for my family to stay at this hotel while visiting Sydney. My Mum-in law said although the outside looks a bit shabby, she said the room they were given was quiet & massive & they slept the best they have ever slept, she wasn't sure if this was due to the blackout curtains or the bed, but she...

Alway follow the old adage - you get what you pay for! Napoleon on Kent has a great location and whilst there we walked to the central shopping district (intersection of Pitt and George Streets), Circular Quay and Chinatown with no hassle at all. The room was clean (we had 407 which faced Kent Street) albeit a little jaded. Despite...

Spacious 1br apartment though dated and somewhat shabby. Clean and comfortable in great location, not as noisy as you might think given under a freeway. Easy walk to the Rocks, Circular Quay, CBD. Close to Wynyard station and York St for public transport.

This was a great place to stay. I found it to be reasonably priced (Sydney is very expensive to stay) and the room was clean and comfortable. Was right under the overpass, but heard very little traffic. Our room was on the construction side of the street, and only a couple of times was it noisy enough to comment, (and...

Near to The Rocks and to Darling Harbour and to Wynyard subway/bus station. Good sized non-smoking rooms eqipped with kitchenette, hotplates, microwave etc. Coin-op laundry facilitiescavail to guests. Supermarket easy walking distance away in Wynyard Station. Pleasant helpful staff but reception services not 24hr per day. More like an appartment than a hotel. Street view only but thats ok. Limited...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
