Arriving mid-morning following a cruise, there was a slight problem with my travel agent not having confirmed an upgrade. The hotel management dealt with the problem without fuss and whilst I didn't get the room I wanted, I had absolutely no complaints about the room we were given with its high floor, harbour view and we could check-in immediately. During...

We went here for a special occasion and this place delivered. Very large room and facilities, felt like living in an apartment. Service also very good. Would come back when I can afford it. Also location near the Rocks is good, you can go and get a nice breakfast at the French Bakery in Argyle St in the Rocks. Only...

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. We had an easy check in and the hotel gave us a free bottle of champagne, which we thought was really nice. The hotel room was really nice. It was a decent size and very clean as well. The breakfast was adequate. I would stay here again.

I stayed with my 10 year old daughter last weekend for a concert. The hotel was completely full. The whole time we had absolutely fantastic service - genuinely friendly, attentive and personal. We used a full range of facilities - check in, concierge, room service, restaurant and bar - all were excellent. The room we had was on the small...

My parents stayed in the fours seasons hotel in November 2015 whilst visiting me in Sydney. The hotel was a huge disappointment. The rooms were tiny, dated and not to the standard of a 5 star hotel. The staff was also extremely unprofessional and rude. The price of the room was high and the service provided was not up to...

We had spectacular views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House from our bedroom window. The hall was sumptuous. Staff were very friendly. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were great after a long day's walk. The only downside was an ineffectual and noisy air conditioner at night. Why it worked well during the day and not the night remains a...

Stayed here in October and the rooms need a lot of work. Old carpet, old fixtures and mini bathrooms. Lobby is amazing and driveway staff including Pasquale are amazing, it's just a shame the product doesn't meet the expectations. Whilst sleeping I had felt the mattress was slightly wet and pulled back the mattress protector and found the mattress to...

We stayed in room 1509, and had fantastic views of the opera house and harbour. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The location for being in downtown Sydney is excellent. The lobby is not wow, but okay. The gym was well equipped. We had room service, and it was okay, but overpriced. The facilities are what to expect...

Fabulous hotel in the city! I was here for a business function and decided to bring the whole family to make it a weekend getaway. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the way each individual guest is treated with the most care and respect (even the little ones). Swift check in. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and immaculately...

We stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney at the end of our month long cruise. The hotel was very accessible, and our room had turning space for our wheelchair, and enough room for my husband's rollator. The bathroom was fully accessible, and the bed low enough to transfer onto, but still very comfortable. The staff were very friendly...

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
