I have stayed in many hotels everywhere and this hotel is one they I want to come back to always… starting from the greeting at Valet to the signature smell and welcome at the check in desk. Mei on Customer Services upgraded us to a suite as we were staying 1 night and then moving to The Crown which is the competition. She was lovely and an asset to the hotel. Hotel is a little run down and carpets are stained. Breakfast was a la carte and diabolical. They served cold coffee and cold pain au chocolate. Service in the restaurants is not great and they need to improve. I could not eat in anymofmthe hotel restaurants due to private events. Good point is front desk service was 5 star. Room was big and had everything we need but they need to change their pillows as they are too soft. I think most people stay here for the casino

Spent the night at The Darling as a gift from a very good mate of mine who knows my ultimate wish for my birthday, which is to sleep well and rested and wake up refreshed. My experience has been beyond awesome. I was welcomed by Mei at the front desk who facilitated my check in. She gave me a surprise which I was not expecting at all. Upon arriving at the room everything looked clean and tidy. Welcoming vibe, just the way I wanted. I received a fresh platter of fruits and a bottle of sparkling wine. The room was located at 15th floor with a great view of the Darling Harbour. Fridge is working, with a good amount of options of drinks to choose from. Bed's fresh and sheets tucked in properly. Massive vanity room and bath rooms. Love the floor to ceiling glass wall which maximises the sunlight. Overall experience is no doubt 10 out of 10. And oh, parking's got plenty of space. …

Amazing stay at The Darling! Beautiful room and such lovely and helpful staff which really topped it off. The location was amazing as there are great restaurants within a stones throw as well as lovely spots to walk around and explore.

We stayed in a Jewel suite for one night and it was ok but not great for the price tag this hotel charges. Service nice but a bit sterile. We were attending an award event in the city and although it’s right across the CBD, getting into the city from there is a mission. Public transport from the star to the center is non existent and a taxi will set you back $50 return and getting a cab back from the city back to the hotel was a nightmare. The size of the room was good and the view was decent but we were not blown away for a suite. Maybe because we booked on booking.com instead of with the hotel we maybe didn’t get the best room we could have.

My stay at the Darling was unmatched in service and its location. We stayed there two nights and then flew up to Cairns I stayed there with my 10 year old child. The hotel is very child friendly. . We arrived after a 17 hour flight early in the morning. We expected to just drop off our bags until the room was ready at check in time. However, we were beyond surprised and pleased that they had a room ready for us and they even gave us a complimentary upgrade to a gorgeous suite with sweeping views of Darling Harbor. The lobby of The Darling was chic and elegant, as was our suite. The bed mattress was one of the most comfortable that we have slept on and the turn down service was exceptional. The scent of the bathroom's Balmain toiletries was heavenly. We made use of the beautiful pool and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location of The Darling was close to many of the tourist sites that we wanted to visit like the aquarium and the zoo. My daughter particularly liked the Tumbalong playground that was nearby. The hotel is also across the street from a grocery store which is very helpful when traveling with children. All in all, The Darling was exceptional! …

Fantastic experience that started with genuine, warm welcomes from several staff when we dropped off the car and luggage and checked in where we were pleasantly surprised by a room upgrade (which made our stay all the better). We have generally booked into hotels in the CBD when visiting Sydney but will think again next time as the Darling is in a great location with easy access to the city and close to some great restaurants which we took advantage of!

The hotel is ok, although like most casino hotels, it feels a little bit soulless. Our room was ok and I must say the service was overall good. Not great but good. I would have given 4 stars but the breakfast was a bit of a let down on Sunday and the biggest issue was at the pool. It was incredibly hot and the pool was just so busy that it made it impossible to relax. Either needs to be better managed or time allocated. Disappointing.
