My wife and I visited Sydney in Late December and found Bayswater to be a nice, clean place as a base for getting around Sydney. Located 5 mins away from the Kings Cross Train station, it was really easy to get to all the key spots in Sydney. There were some really interesting restaurants within 15 mins walk. Found out...

Booked the King executive then upgraded to a family room. On the 4th floor, room 410, facing the inner courtyard. Front desk variable depending on who's on. King and Queen size bed but the tiniest toilets in the world. Beds comfortable. Would be a bit too small For 4 but for 3 was ok. Found Cockroach in the room one...

Other than the floor boards being creaky a great stay. Could not fault the staff within they were helpful and willing to answer any questions. The noise outside was a bit too much one night as taxis outside were beeping their horns at 2 am.

Great location - not far from Kings Cross train station. Rooms are nicely furnished. Bathroom is a little small but fine for a short stay. There was an ironing board and iron but no hair dryer - so BYO if required. Bed was firm & comfy. Staff were very friendly & price was very reasonable. Overall - I would stay...

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us recently. We apologise for your room not having a hair dryer. We do in fact have hair dryers and would have been happy to supply one in place of yours being missing. All in all it seems you had a good stay and perhaps we will see...

With all the rave reviews we were looking forward to staying at this boutique hotel. The lobby was small but nice looking. The eat-in area off the lobby has a few tables and chairs as well as kettle, tea and coffee, condiments, microwave, toaster, metal cutlery as well as dishes. You can bring in your own food and eat there...

Close to everything and great service. We like that it was close to the train station and parks. Hotel could use a make over but overall it more than met our needs I would definitely recommend this to other travellers as its a great find in Potts point

Nice staff, great location, clean and tidy. For what i paid and whats on offer, was exceptional value. The only negatives perhaps was the rooms and lift were a bit small (also the lift seemed seemed like it needed a service, bumpy and creaky going up and down). That said the rooms still had everything you could want. To some...

i have stayed at this hotel a few times now and have usually had a pretty good experience. this time around the pillows were lumpy and clearly older, the bathroom drainage was a concern. the reception staff were great and the location is so convenient.

Located in a great spot. Room was lovely, nice big bed, customer service great, but the bathroom was teeny-tiny. Being a tall person it was a little uncomfortable. That aside, we enjoyed the short stay.

Went for the weekend and needed a nice hotel which was reasonably priced. The bayswater delivered just that. Not the flashed or the biggest hotel but great for a weekend away with a partner. Long walk to the CBD but not impossible. Also very close to the nightlife in Sydney.

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighbourhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
