We enjoyed our stay at the Bayswater Sydney. While the elevator was slow, the location near the train station was extremely convienent for our frequent trips to the Circular Quay area. We also greatly enjoyed the Kings Cross Bakery across the street.

Not sure where to start. Excellent very friendly staff. I know there are different size rooms and some are small but ours was big we think it was a family room. We only had a short stay in Australia and the hotel made it very comfortable for us. Lovely clean beds very comfortable and same with towels big soft towels....

Great location, minutes from city, great value for money, staff are great, loved the room, all the facilities that you could want are literally next door.. Could not fault at all. Will stay again here. The short trip to the city is no trouble at all.

Elegant, understated, the Bayswater improves its neighbourhood. Conveniently located, close to public transport links and with a major cab rank outside the door, within a short walking distance of restaurants, bars and cafes, the Bayswater is ideally situated for both the business and leisure traveller.

Stayed here as it was close to venue event we were attending. Clean, tidy and well priced. Nothing fancy but certainly me our needs. The room was very small but functional . Staff were unobtrusive but helpful when required.

I stayed here for a week while I was in Sydney. The location is perfect a stone throw away from the local train station and buses are regularly passing by. The hotel it's self is extremely well managed, very clean and perfect for everyone. My room was on the fourth floor and was quiet, modern and clean and came with...

Looks like a fantastic hotel, stayed overnight on a work trip, mostly clean and tidy rooms, few bugs and a cockroach I had to kill, but very very small, closet in the room is too big for the space and protrudes out into the middle of the room, slightly blocking the bathroom door opening fully. Bed was quite a hard...

Two night stay at Easter great value.Location was very handy for train.booked two small queen rooms which are small but had all that we required and fairly modern etc. Stayed a Sunday/Monday night pretty quiet in the area to be fair also.

Front desk was friendly and helpful so was house keeping. Rooms have good furnishings but carpet in room is really dirty. Location is good if your young and trying to see Sydney night life. Friday and Saturday nights get crazy.

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighbourhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
