Staff were excellent. Housekeeping not so much. Facecloth was stained, shower unclean and vents very dirty. Hotel is very noisy, bathrooms are tiny. Was not able to sleep due to humming noise from bathroom - even with all switches off.

Arranged a catch up with friends from out of town and to celebrate our anniversary with a dinner at St Wharf / Darling Harbour princinct. This hotel had everything we needed ... very central location to King St Wharf & Darling Harbour, a modern, clean comfortable room, very comfortable king bed, nice and quiet ( no street noise ), very...

As a loyal memeber IBIs is my first hotel of choice and this time I chose wrong, the location was a plus as it was easy access to ferries, eateries and lots of nightlife, maybe that is why it was the most expensive IBIS hotel we have stayed in too date? on entering the foyer after a long flight and...

I stay at the Ibis in King Street Wharf because of the clean rooms, good rates, friendly staff and it's excellent location. It's a block and a half from the Darling Harbour ferry terminal. This can get you to all the scenic spots and all the sights along the way. A trip from Darling Harbour to Circular Quay is about...

I left something in the room and they won't respond to me so I can get it back. Had plastic bags over the smoke alarms, and the lifts took 5 mins to arrive. Tiny room. No real onsite restaurant or bar regardless of what is suggested. Onsite staff had no knowledge of simple things like where the stairs were located.

I only had one night to stay, but the check-in process was efficient, and the room was available when I checked in. The room was clean and tidy and just what was needed for a short stay. Be mindful if you need space or staying for a while, that you get an appropriate room size that suits your needs.

This hotel is a typical ibis. The rooms are small, but clean and adequate for a nights sleep. The bed is very comfy and there were pillow options provided. I was on the fifth floor and looked across the expressway to the city. The room was very quiet and the blackout blinds were fabulous. Interestingly a clock was provided with...

I was working in the Bangaroo financial district for two days and stayed in this hotel, ideally located - a one/two minute walk to many of the major companies as well as a wide range of bars and eateries. Plus a few minutes walk from Wynyard station. The room had everything I needed and the staff members I dealt with...

This was a last minute (literally) booking so it was a case of finding a room in the city at a reasonable tariff. Good location but odd position jammed next to an overpass. All the basics were good - string shower, good steam iron, decent soap/shampoo and comfortable bed. No frills but better than I expected.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
