The staff were very friendly and helpful in storing our bags (and putting them in our room when it was available) and giving us some tips and directions for the local area. The room was compact but no real issues. We really liked the breakfast bar in the lobby, with a small but good selection of food, and good coffees....

We visited Sydney for a short trip to attend a friend's wedding. We picked the hotel because of its location (so convienient for the Harbour and the CBD!) and its reasonable prices. Ibis is also an international chain so we pretty much knew what we would be getting for our money. From the moment we arrived at 7am the friendly,...

We flew into Sydney late and left the next day but this hotel ticket all the boxes for a quick stopover. We were 'upgraded' which provided a giggle when we saw the size of the room. It would be one of the smallest hotel rooms I've seen. The room had a very small window giving the choice of fresh air...

First of all, you are well located when you choose to stay at this hotel. Everything could be done walking, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, The Sydney Tower, Wildlife and the Aquarium, the Opera House... all done rapidly on foot. Location is key and this place is THE location! Staff is really awesome, they have gone beyond what we expected. They...

I was up in Sydney for work and needed somewhere close to Barangaroo - Ibis served this purpose. The staff were friendly, but not amazingly hospitable, but you get what you pay for, right? The room was compact, but clean. Unfortunately, I ended up in a room that looked directly onto the Western Distributor, so getting some catch-up sleep after...

Four comfortable pillows, and comfy bed. All the bathroom and hot beverage amenities. No wait for taxis, as they are queued on the street. I caught my cab at 06:15. ($35) 24hr convenience store directly across the street, with fresh fruits, yogurt and practically everything else. 20 minute walk from Queen Victoria building, 5 minute walk from the wharf where...

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, our room and hotel was very clean with a relaxing, calming atmosphere. The Ibis is situated so close to Darling Harbour, which made our stay so much easier as we attended a show and function over our stay.

Ibis kings street wharf is one of those no frills hotels that gives u a clean standard room and an excellent location. The hotel is located very close to the buzzing darling harbour / CBD and all the outdoor experience that area has to offer. I stayed for a couple of nights , the price was on a higher scale...

Clean, tidy and our room appeared to have been recently renovated. A quiet and convenient location in the CBD. The 'breakfast-to-go' was most convenient and well catered with good range of choices, especially as it was included in the price.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
