nice and clean room, comfortable bed, and tidy bathroom. staffs were very accommodating and helpful. located few minutes away from the central station which give easy access for transportation going out. the restaurant serves good food at a reasonable cost. stayed here for 3 nights while doing business at sydney training center. nice place to stay.

This lovely hotel with it Art Deco furniture and style was located a short walk from Central Station. In China Town with many choices to eat however don't forget the bar down stairs with great food which is resonably priced. Comfortable bed and room for a great price!

Stayed here for one night before going on to Newcastle, lovely Queens room with all the amenities I could have wanted after the long flight from the UK. The bed was very comfortable and my stay included a cooked breakfast, which although wasn't anything special, I still very much appreciated. I'd recommend.

The food and the service in the bar and restaurant is fantastic. The hotel itself is an old hotel but is fairly clean with antiques everywhere you look( like staying in a museum) the only complaint is you have to pay for internet in the room however the bar is free.

King size bed. Room is quite small & compact. Quite adequate for over night though. Breakfast is very good. Very strictly operated & quite formal. This is an older hotel. They are happy to accept room requests if you know the hotel. My 2nd stay there. Lift can be very unreliable. If being serviced you need to use the stairs...

The hotel itself is adequate & very well situated. Stayed friday & saturday night. Rooms are of standard quality & we didn't experience any noise from the pub below. We were disturbed at 2.40am by what proved to be an unnecessary evacuation caused by a faulty fire alarm. The resulting pandemonium at this hour wasn't helped by the lack of...

An unexpected overnight in Sydney and walked in to inquire. Pleasantly surprised by standard of large room and friendly staff. Great location near Central Stn, Chinatown and Paddy's Market. Fairly large hotel with a great bar and bistro.

Stopped in for a quick bite before heading to Melbourne. What a pleasant surprise great food cooked well and a very bright and bubbly atmosphere. Staff were very friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The Chicken Schnitzel was cooked to perfection, still juicy with a lovely flavour. Will definately be back.

We love staying at the hotel, when we visit Sydney. The location is central to Sydney CBD close to many attractions such as Darling Harbour, The Lyric, Pyrmont, Capitol Theatre, and Central train station, to name a few. The decor is tastefully nostalgic in the art deco theme. We particularly enjoy the convenience of great valued and tasty meals for...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
