We stayed here late August after a road trip to Melbourne. Was a cheap place to stay, very basic but that's all we needed. The pub had a lot going on, live music, cheap food. It appeared as backpackers were running the place which gave it a nice vibe. They were a little loud at night though. Location is great,...

I found Australia when I found the hoey. It was everything I wanted and how I pictured Oz life. Great hostel with great staff literally on the beach you can hear the waves crashing from the kitchen. A massive family atmosphere I met some great people there I stayed for a couple of months twice. Gorgeous place don't skip it...

I had the best time staying at the Hoey for my farm work. I loved the room, the people and the amazing location! The atmosphere was always great, and we always tried to organise nights for everyone to come together and bond. I will always keep very fond memories of this place. Will definitely return when back on the East...

Stayed at the Hoey for 3 weeks picking blueberries, the location, accommodation and amenities make this an ideal spot for backpackers looking to get their second year visa. Located right next to a bar/restaurant with a bottle shop attached you're never far away from a meal, $4 schooner or box of goon. The staff are welcoming and Frank the manager...

Also worked at the Hoey Moey behind the bar which I also loved, the staff are fantastic, friendly lovely manager and such...

So come here with my family for a holiday and obviously had to stay at the hoey. As I was here a few years ago as a backpacker. It is still my favourite place to stay. Right on the beech. Close to the shops. Live music and a pub on your doorstep. And all the staff as always are very...

Staying at a nearby camp site this hotel was recommended by a local taxi driver. We visited on a Saturday, it was buzzing, very busy but so friendly. We sat in the open air section and enjoyed free chips, chicken wings and snacks from the bar. Lots of raffles, racing events and good fun to be had. Went back on...

Broke up a trip to Armidale via Waterfall Way (extraordinary) with a stay at the Hoey Moey. Loved it because it's exactly what it said it would be - cheap, cheerful, clean and right on the beach. It's not 5 star but it doesn't pretend to be. Loved mingling with other travellers, bar and bistro closeby is a plus, and...

Bus came in early so the cleaning staff prepared my bed while I waited in the common area and gave me my key as soon as possible so hats off to them! Room was ok, had a fridge which was good, but bathroom wasn't in the best condition. No lockers in room which was a let down. Great location next...
