People leaving bad reviews would have had too high expectations. Given the price of accommodation there, it would not the the Ritz Carlton. However, it is conveniently located (leisurely walk to the city centre), spacious, clean and has good facilities (with the exception of wi-fi, but again it is a budget option). Self-catering is well catered for, reducing costs for...

We walked in and booked the room at reception. Room was dusty, bathroom was mouldy, staff were far from friendly. We walked onto our room and walked straight back out and stayed elsewhere. No refund was given die to a 24 hour cancelation rule. Will never ever stay here again. Note: stayed at hotel kurrajong. It was amazing.

Although the place is a little dated and due for a refresh, it was clean and well managed, in walking distance to Canberra Centre. Also quite reasonably priced. Try to get a room off the main road, as it can be a little noisy during the peak period.

I booked this motel through booking.com for my family (partner, young baby & myself). I made a specific request for a "Child's Cot" in the booking, which was noted in my reservation email. Upon arrival it was discovered that a cot hadn't been put in the room. I spoke with the 'manager' who informed me that they don't have cots....

What a mess! I would advise anyone contemplating on staying here to check into a morgue instead. What more could you say about this place? Noisy plumbing, frayed bedding, a true c1960s bathroom. Staff were hopeless.

Well equipped, dim, dated room. OK for an overnight stay. I don't know what the executive is about, more like adequate. Had a dodgy kettle (all burnt out) and the young lady on reception was most helpful and replaced it quickly without fuss. Very nice attitude at reception. The shower suffered from dodgy water pressure and each time the next...

We didnt expect much from this accommodation. It was reasonably priced, and we were very happy with its close location to our work conference and the restaurants of the nearby street. But the actual apartment was not nice. It was uncomfortable . It smelt of ciggerettes, and it was dark and stuffy. We would sit in the room with the...

Considering that we just have to go to Canberra for one night, it works quite well for us. Nothing fancy but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there if I needed to go down there again.

I stayed here 2 nights for work as it was recommended by a colleague who always stays here. For $150 a night I'd stay somewhere else next time. It's old, dark, dated, noisey I was on 1st floor and musky smelling. It was like staying in a motel in the 80's and nothing had changed. The room was clean staff were nice and...

Room service was great and quick, friendly staff on reception. Good to have a kitchenette with the room for organizing own breakfast .As the hotel is on the main road and noisy they have installed double glazing so no outside traffic noise. Also shutters if you don't want the sun waking you early.
