Lovely hotel with great history. Very smart rooms and great location. Staff were mostly very attentive but a few hiccups at a busy breakfast were noticed by guests. Lovely breakfast but evening meals a bit overpriced.

Delightful, charming, full of history hotel. Nothing is far away, breakfast great as was the bar menu, impressive. Staff friendly, courteous and professional. They seemed to enjoy being there which is a real plus for customers.

Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel and gardens. Rooms a little bit small. Need some easy chairs in the rooms for relaxing. Bathroom great! Lovely body lotion! Young lady at reception wasn't overly enthusiastic.

This is a wonderful hotel but not if you need to park a car as there is no parking and they charge you $15. A night when you park 3 streets away!!!!! If disabled like myself then wouldn't recommend as you won't have parking. One space allocated at front always full.

I chose this hotel for price and location. No restaurants close by and it's in the middle of government buildings so this is a popular choice for business stays through the week, however for weekend getaways is also only a short walk away from prime tourist locations. Plus driving anywhere in Canberra is easy! No breakfast offered. There was a...

Beautiful historic hotel of the 1920-30s. As with most hotels in Canberra you will need your own transport to travel around town. Nice quiet location in very nice area. Great terrace and garden area for coffee and drinks and also as a backdrop for dinner etc. Limited on site parking but street parking 6pm to 7:30 am easily available.

Stayed here despite advice from friends who had some gripe with it (which I can't remember). Small but clean, upmarket rooms with a very modern bathroom (love the roomy shower!). Was very busy but staff were helpful although I overheard a staff member at reception tell guests that the noodle markets had closed but in fact that is where we...

Not a great experience. the room was dusty and not properly cleaned. Parking was hopeless. I think I had to park in the next suburb but they did refund the parking. For a hotel of this standing shower cap should have been provided but there was none. The hotel is showing signs of wear yet it is relatively new

Love the fact that it was Heritage listed and love the décor however parking is a problem. Beautifully quiet. Bed a bit firm for me. Buffet breakfast was delicious and plenty of choices but tea and coffee station I think was in wrong spot - always congested.
