Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really nice family hotel in Kärdla. Close to the center and shops. Nice breakfast and also possibilty to order dinner cause at winter time no other eating places in Kärdla after 21:00. Nice welcome, super clean and nice room. Will be back for sure 👍

This is a nice cozy hotel what makes you feel like you haven't left home at all. The room was quite big - not what you'd normally expect from a hotel. We were staying with a 5-year old, so there was enough room for all of us + all of this toys (not that he had the energy to play inside after a long day exploring Hiiumaa). A good buffee style breakfast is included in the price of the room. So you don't have to worry about where you're going to get that fuel to start your day. Dinner is also possible, but you have to order it in advance though. So try to plan ahead. When we end up in Hiiumaa again this would be my go-to place.

Kärdla is so small it barely deserves the name of a city. So, you're more in a village or, at the best, a town. Meaning: you can't expect anything you may be used to with round-package deals. The hotel is rather simple yet has all that is necessary for a relaxed stay. We had an apartment with sauna and were very pleased. The staff was friendly too, which was an added value.

Very good location, located in walking distance from two supermarkets. Rooms are from natural wood. Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. You can visit many nature attractions around, super place to stay with family or for business.

The staff were friendly and waited for me to arrive after midnight so that I could check-in. The room was spacious, and had a fridge, microwave, small sauna, and twin beds. The buffet breakfast was ok if you are very hungry. Overall, good hotel. The internet Wifi signal was very weak, do not count on it.

We stayed at the Padu hotel for three nights. The room, breakfast, bathroom rather basic, but very good value at 65€ a night in a twin room. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The bed was good, bathroom clean and spacious. A small balcony and a fridge ( for beer and white wine) were nice to have in this warm summer weather. We had supper there one evening but that was a mistake. You could instead go to the nearby supermarket and get some supper ingredients since there is a micro wave oven, plates etc in the room. Also the wifi was ok and free of charge.

Visited this nice hotel in the beginning of August and found it convenient for our purposes. Our idea was to have accommodation nicely located for your day trips around the island and for that this hotel was very good. Local delicacies was being served during the breakfast, hotel was very clean and rather comfortable. We felt a bit sorry for the owner who seemed to be on duty all the time, from dawn till dusk. First appearence of the hotel was rather neutral but quite soon we discovered lot of small details which we liked. In my opinion the management is quite up-to-date with modern hospitality business. We had nice time at this hotel and wish all the best for the proprietor.

The family runned hotel has 18 rooms, with either garden terrace or balcony it conveniently located close to super markets, SELVER or KONSUM with opening hours from 0800-2200. We asked for a room away from the street since I'm very sensitive to "noise", however there was not that many cars passing by during evening and night time. We stayed in room 36 on the ground floor. The woman at the reception said she'd only speak a little English, but it was actually not an isues at all. A breakfast buffet is included in the room rate, simple, but enough for us. The hotel is within walking distance to the "city" centre - it's more like a very small town.

This hotel is located in the outskirts of Kärdla, but because of this, its location is just beautiful. The rooms are clean, a bit small-sized, but there arent much to want more. Breackfast was lovely. When I was at Kärdla second time, I booked without a doubt this hotel.
