Well for four star hotel I would expect more. Rooms are old and sheets torn, lights in the bathrooms are not working, everything is a little bit just put together in the rooms to look nice. Wifi is very poor in room, very slow. Food and service were good. Good thing you have lots of pools in the back of...

One of the best places close to the national park. I really appreciate the nice and hepful staff and wonderful Mandy Horvath (Marketing Manager) for the support of our trip. Thank you all. I highly recommend.

the place is clean and the staff is helpful. However we had issues at breakfast as on one occasion we went into the restaurant and the lights remained off till 2 after service should have started and on another occasion the receptionist had to prepare breakfast. the place needs to be more professional. otherwise no complaints.

There were some good things about the hotel–the room was decorated nicely and reasonably sized; swimming and thermal pools outside with an option to visit the Spa's perfect wellness arena in the neighborhood. The list of available facilities was also charming. What was terrible is the bowling alley: you could not have a rest because you could hear it rolling...

Like many of the other reviewers, I stayed here on a Sakertour photography trip. The hotel is good, if not quite what you'd expect in Western Europe. The food is really very good, drinks are reasonably priced and there's a good wine list. Rooms are comfortable, perhaps a bit noisy as a result of the bowling alley(!) if you want...

We stayed for 6 nights on a bird photography tour. We had a lovely big double room (101 - with single beds) which was very pleasantly decorated and had windows on both sides and a balcony that overlooked the gardens. The bathroom was huge with a huge walk in shower. There was penty of hanging space for clothes and loads...

Our visit was a part of a special anniversary trip. We were immediately upgraded to an executive room. Good sized bedroom with TV, fantastic bathroom and a nice sized sitting room overlooking the garden. Our room was very quiet and the bed really comfortable with a feather and down topper and duvet. An excellent selection at breakfast that filled us...

We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. Our room (112) was on the first floor and we heard a little bit the bowling alley under us. The food was excellent and tasty. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Stayed for a week at the hotel on a bird photography tour of Hortobagy. Staff very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the food and the facilities of the thermal pool. Had a double roomt to myself with large walk in shower. Although clean room service was lacking on some days and had to ask for clean towels but this was soon...

I have just returned from a photography holiday, photographing birds in the Hortobagy with Sakertour. After a long day in the field, the Balmaz was a joy to return to. My room was a double (I paid single supplement) and was extremely spacious and comfortable with masses of storage space and a great wet room type shower. The food was...

“Probably a room overlooking the front and as far away from the courtyard area as possible although if there is a wedding reception it won't matter which room you have - just remember to pack some good earplugs!!”

“Rooms at front of house seem to be above the bowling alley and some noise. However bowling stops at 22:00 so not much of a problem.. Sometimes noise in corridors but this can happen anywhere.”
