Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited on a late September Thursday. Restaurant was quiet. We had the set meal at 25 euros. A good menu, complemented by some well chosen specials "du jour". Goat cheese with smoked salmon was very good and tasty. It was really well presented, setting the theme for the evening. Our main courses were sirloin steak with Roquefort sauce and lamb with a garlic sauce, both with a selection of vegetables. Both choices were really tasty. For dessert, we had pavlova with raspberry sorbet, and apple tarte tatin with ice cream - again both very tasty and so well presented. Service was friendly and efficient. Note that local wine choices are displayed on the wall - which I failed to notice early enough. Next time ...

Called for dinner mid week, a la carte available, but chose the €23 menu with good choices on all courses. Very well cooked food and an enjoyable evening. Excellent value for money and a good choice for business travellers with its easy motorway access

Some 20 years ago we come to Valros regularly and often ate in the Auberge La Tour. On our visit this year we were pleasantly surprised to experience a still excellent cooking and a pleasant service. As in the past we can still warmly recommend the La Tour in Valros.

An extensive menu. Plus an excellent Menu du Jour at very reasonable prices. A good wine list. The service is good by very friendly, happy staff. My friends and I had very well cooked and presented food. This is the second time I have been there and would go there again.

A lovely, quiet hotel, a spacious room with a balcony looking out onto the garden and a really superb meal in the restaurant. A warm welcome and excellent service. Would get top marks if the bathrooms were brought up to date.

We had eaten at the restaurant on several occasions over recent years. This was the first time we had stayed at the hotel. The rooms are comfortable, ours had a balcony looking out over the garden and swimming pool. Our only complaint is that our bathroom did not have a fixed shower and we were reduced to showering while kneeling in the bath! The staff were pleasant and helpful. As before the restaurant was very good.

I am always pleased to visit the Auberge for dinner, knowing the welcome will be good, and the food excellent. This week I had a vegetarian friend staying, and she was longing for something different to Goats cheese salad or pizza, lovely as they can be, in moderation! The Auberge obliged with a lovely Asparagus starter from the menu, which we actually all chose, followed by a specially constructed plate of perfectly cooked, and varied vegetables. My friend was delighted, and the rest of our party enjoyed the excellent, meat eater options of Carpaccio of beef, and lamb. Another visit is booked for very soon!

We visited, for lunch, with a friend last week. We had very good food at a fair price, nice welcome and beautiful table linen. well worth a visit. It's a long time since we visited and it is now under new ownership. A great improvement.
