Very interesting place to stay. The owner was a very gracious host. When we arrived he served us all sorts of homemade food and wine. What a treat after a long day of driving. He did not speak much English and we didn’t speak Italian but we still had a jolly time communicating. The room was wonderful and eclectic with stairs to a patio overlooking the water. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer.

On the outskirts of Maratea, this cozy B&B offered a warm, clean, comfortable room, with patio and magnificent view. Our breakfast was served by our friendly hosts whose young son shared his knowledge of history with us. Since we were there just before Christmas, our host had constructed a Precipeo (Nativity scene) completely out of seashells. We were very impressed by his creativity and pride of workmanship. There is a restaurant within walking distance, where we enjoyed a seafood dinner. We took the path from the B&B down to the water and couldn't believe we were sitting on the shore of the Mediterrean in the middle of December.

We stayed 2 nights here on our way to Naples. Very friendly couple who run La Torretta and nothing too much trouble. A few miles out of Maratea but there is an excellent fish restaurant only 100m down the road. You can stroll to the coast where there is a secluded cove and swimming. Only downside is a very narrow access road to B&B so if your car is and bigger than a VW Golf, would recommend parking on the main road.

Super friendly place near the Sea. Very generous breakfast, comfy bed and cosy atmosphere. Italy at its best! Nearby, there is a very good fish restaurant (walking distance) and the see is 50 yards away. Charming and with still feels authentic. We really had a good time. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

We needed a place to bunk for one night early November 2016.....stumbled onto this place courtesy of TA......it was a bit of a bear to find: (highly suggest you use a gps/navi-system to find it, especially if dark when you arrive...it's quite a way off the autostrade). ....are we ever glad we found this place, though! Owner/hosts Sonia and Biagio made our night....in fact, it was one of those memorable experiences that are totally unexpected, but a true highlight of one's trip..they invited us into their home for an impromptu dinner and some free-flowing wine....most of it home-made by the multi-talented Biagio, ..we spent a wonderful, informative and funny hour or so making friends with each other. It was such a genuine and warm moment we will remember for a long time. The room was great, comfortable bed, had a great sleep, although I think there was a train or two somewhere in the area....not problematic, though. Breakfast typical for Italy, but good quality here...we walked down to the beautiful little pebble beach, 5 mints away....the water was still just fine for swimming, but we didn't have time...in summer, this would be a great place to spend some time, checking out this little-known but truly great part of Italy....if you're anywhere near this place, stay here.
