Isiiaki Village The location on the lake, surrounded by trees, a dream! Especially if like with us low season and nothing going on! The glass villa is super heated, has a kitchenette with everything you need, microwave, hotplate, dishes, water cooker, safe and an extra bathroom with toilet incl. underfloor heating! The view of the sky and sleeping under stars- great! We were also lucky enough to see Northern Lights-from bed! The breakfast is very good, everything you need and a totally cozy space! Activities were unfortunately not offered right now- was apparently the slot between summer and winter program. Sauna we did not use. Facility highly recommended, romantic and cosy! Only the path lighting at night disturbs the idyll and the light source has been disturbing when photographing the northern lights. Maybe so as an incentive to turn off the at 10 pm or set them so that they only light up on the way and do not illuminate the whole environment. But all in all a great place to stay!

We arrived with our rental car a few hours early, which fortunately was not a problem at all. We were allowed to move into our room directly. The whole team is very helpful, you just have to ask, and also very happy to help with extraordinary questions. We stayed 6 days at Papin Talo, rooms are rather small, but who spends their holidays indoors?:-), very well equipped and the common lounge area invites you to linger if you are not enjoying the time outdoors. Shopping in Ruka within 15min reachable by car. We were very lucky and could already marvel at the Northern Lights so early in the year, just magically right on the lake. The Things to do are also absolutely worth their money. Special thanks also to our guide Sami and his colleagues who led our excursions. We will definitely come back at another time of year! Thanks to the whole team. Michael and Barbara

Passing through with destination Rovaniemi, we stopped one night in this typical Finnish village. We opted for a comfortable room located just above the reception. The whole building is furnished in a traditional Finnish way, but modern and comfortable. The 4 rooms of the building have a nice full shared kitchen. But we opted for the typical dinner at the restaurant located in the cottage adjacent to the reception, and we were satisfied with the food, especially the local salmon and mushroom soups. The village offers many opportunities for sports and initiatives depending on the season. Our stay at this property was particularly pleasant also because at the reception we found a nice Italian girl who did her best to give us advice on the trail Pieni Karhunkierros (the Little Bear Ring), highly recommended, and also answered our many questions about Finnish customs and traditions. Very varied and quality breakfast with local products, prepared by another of our compatriot 🇮🇹. In short, very positive balance for this structure surrounded by nature, pleasant in all seasons.

The glass ceiling hut stay was very nice although there was on snow on the top pf the ceiling. The food was bad and did not match at all with the quality of accommodation. It was supposed to be a three course dinner but turned out to be a buffet The taste was uninteresting and reminded of office meals. The waitress warned that one should not take too much so that they would not run out of food (this happened in the very beginning). Additionally the people were put into a tiny room to eat and that was not very pleasant during covid19.

We have been welcomed at Iisakki Village by such a warm-hearted and friendly team, which allowed us to experience one of the best weeks we've ever had. The team at the reception, the guides and the restaurant crew make this lovely place an unforgettable memory. They put so much love and effort in providing a comfortable atmosphere in the accommodation, doesn't matter if it is the glass villa or the guest house, both highly recommendable by the way, in the restaurants and on the outside. We booked nearly all winter activities we could get and did not regret to experience a good taste of Finnish lifestyle. Even though it was not cheap, but this is not what you're searching for when visiting Scandinavia. And the guides really made a great job, everything was so organized. And after a long day of activities, we have been pleased with dinner, which made us feel like eating in a high class restaurant. My wife and me are thankful having met such great people and that we got the chance to discover this lovely place. Kiitos paljon

We booked our holiday through Voigt Travel and what a wonderful experience it was! Everything was arranged down to the last detail: from the fantastic organization and well-organized excursions to the delicious food.
The excursions were an absolute added value; we don't have many practices yet, but we will see you get to know and use the Finnish culture.
For anyone who has doubts: definitely do it! Highly recommended.

I made a last-minute reservation for their Iisakki Guest house, for which I needed a common accommodation (a baby crib; my son cannot sleep safely in an adult bed) that has never been a problem for me in other lodgings. I called to cancel the next day immediately after I read an email from the guest house that they were unable to meet my needs and was told I would have no issue canceling on booking.com. Long story short, Ruka Safaris refused my cancellation and charged me full price for the room after I had already committed to another hotel. Further inquiries in writing and on Facebook from me and from a customer service assistant from booking.com went unanswered. This has caused me financial stress and lack of sleep, and I feel incredulous that I was treated in such an unprofessional manner. Honestly, fewer than 24 hours elapsed between when I attempted to make the reservation and when I told the hotel that I needed to cancel because they were unable to accommodate my need, so this treatment seems ridiculous.
If you have children or need any sort of accommodation, I would advise you to take your business elsewhere. As for me, I will be sticking to hotel chains in the future, where at least I can expect professional interactions with management.

Beautiful and quiet place, saw Auroras on lake next to our house! We booked Alinan Tupa house, perfect for 10 people, big table at kitchen where all can sit dien and have a meal. 10min away from ski Resort. In the lake was ice-hole with bubbles not to freeze, so you can get in the lake after sauna.

We only stayed for one night, but we would have done many more. The place is really MAGICAL, we slept in a Hut, and having the view of the frozen lake and the starry sky was like a dream! Courtesy and professionalism of the girl at Reception, it was really cute! We will definitely be back!

This place is out of this world! We stayed two night and really enjoyed our cabin. It felt amazing to have such an amazing view over the lake and later watch stars from the bed through the glass ceiling at night. Super quality! Also, there’s an area to make fire. Restaurant and breakfast we’re wonderful! We also took a kayak on the lake and enjoyed a nice afternoon kayaking.
