Very relaxed place with facilities you need in this beautiful environment. 10 minutes by foot to train station, tracks for cross country skiing just behind the pension, great walks around. Amazing staff, easygoing and cheerful. Always smiling and ready to help. Value for your money.
Very good place for vacation, pet friendly hotel, big rooms with balcony, free parking, free wifi, no smoking rooms, we had kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room with TV. Th breakfast was good and
We got to the hotel during the day, regular afternoon hours. The hotel was closed despite our booking with no sign on the main entry whatsoever. Luckily we had local friends who could call the emergency number posted in the back wall of the foyer and it turns out that the manager expected us to pick up the key to the building and our room from the gas station (15-minute walk), letting ourselves in and expecting us to read his mind. Shortly after, his wife showed up who was rather offended that she had to come and tend to her guests and then because we decided to stay elsewhere. When we made the booking through booking.com there was no indication whatsoever that the place would not be open for business. It's incredible that after 25 years of the regime change, people still have no clue what customer service is. (Or just basic courtesy.)…
Enjoyed the stay in pension, great position, nothing pretentious just nice and comfortable accommodation. Rooms were clean and cosy with balcony. Breakfast was good and plenty. Good base position to explore the mountains and all they have to offer. The Tatras are quite small for alpine region, but beautiful. As the Slovaks say "They are smalls, but they are ours" The host was curtious, helpful and nothing was a problem. Next time I visit The Tatras I will very likely stay in this place. I would love to stay there in winter season! Would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody visiting High Tatras. Anton Mader Australia
This Penzion is located about 10 km from Strbske Pleso and for us provided perfect starting point to explore High Tatra. Rooms are quite tiny, but quite clean and with a balcony. Breakfasts werent bad, but quite same every day. When you go to Tatra to hike, its a perfect place to stay. It provides all the comfort as a place to spend a night for an excellent price - in August 2012 we payed 20 € / pers./night breakfast included.
