Bayama's Lodge is situated in Mpika, the heart of Northern Zambia. It targets the individual high-class tourism and features 8 luxury chalets, 3 d-rooms, cocktail bar and a restaurant which serves traditional local and international meals. While centrally located it provides privacy and security in a natural bushland setting. Each chalet has a private patio offering garden views and barbecue facilities. It comes fully equipped with 1x double and 1x single bed, DStv and fan. The en-suit bathroom welcomes you with a hot shower. Breakfast is served daily in Bayama's restaurant, lunch and dinner menu is available. The restaurant/bar features an outdoor veranda and wood-fired pizza oven in natural settings. For relaxation, guests can enjoy a game of pool or darts in the entertainment area of the lodge. The lodge offers tourist information services and free and secure parking. Guests who would like to explore, can visit North Luangwa National Park (2hrs) and South Luangwa National Park (3hrs). Ww stopped here on our way to Kapishya and then again after 2 days ordered takeaway when we moved from Kapishya to Kasanka.Both time we ordered chicken pizza and vegetable pizza.The 1st time it came after 1.30 hours and the next time we ordered takeaway to save time but still had to wait for 15 minutes as they put it in oven only after we came to pick it.The pizza both time was okay.First time it had no salt and next time in tgeir haste the base was not very well cooked.I feel they can do better with good service(the waiter had to be requested to bring cutlery and extra plates) and better time management .The woodstove pizza does take time to heat up so better keep it warm around lunch time when customers are expected.

We were on the way to Kasama from Lusaka and really needed somewhere to stay for one night - luckily found this gem of a place! Very affordable, clean and with decent food. Would definitely recommend this place for any traveller passing through Mpika.

Stayed here for 2 nights in Aug . It was a very welcoming lodge with a really friendly atmosphere. Good priced rooms which were clean and comfortable. Food great especially the t bone . Will definitely return when visiting Mpika again which will be soon .

We are scout leaders from the UK travelling from Namibia to Kenya between Jan 2020 and March 2020 raising funds for a children's home scouts built just north of Mombasa. Whilst route planning we came across this lodge and camp. We have booked for 2 nights. The owners responded to our request for booking quickly and efficiently. After confirmation our booking, they have very kindly offered to support our cause by kindly allowing us to camp at no charge. This is really appreciated and is great to have such a welcome. We had an evening to kill in Mpika while waiting for the TAZARA train to arrive at 2am. Andreas took us to his lodge and then back to the station later on, where we passed the time playing pool and eating some high quality pizzas. A stylish and comfortable spot to relax in.
