Stayed here for one night while undertaking fieldwork in Northern Province. Rooms were clean with mosquito net, fridge, television and a/c. Bathroom was fine - hot water, decent pressure. Good wifi is available in the reception. The usual selection of food is available (chicken, chips, nshima etc) and there is a separate bar with a reasonable range of drinks. There is no gate to the lodge, which some members of our party found a little disconcerting but the place seemed perfectly safe. Would stay here again if in Mpika.

The best option in all area; clean vaste, green and quiet yard; the personnel are friendly and polite, doing anything to satisfy you; the rooms are clean. Don't expect too much from the clean and ugly canteen, the menu is poor, no forks, but the long time waiting food is digestible. I'll stop there again.

if you find yourself here this is the place to stay.....off the main road with a few cabins dotted across the grounds each with two rooms....large rooms and ok bathroom...very reasonably priced but only take local currency.....chef made us dinner and brought it to our room which was really good....although it has a restaurant there is little in the way of ambience! OK breakfast

Mango Grove Lodge is a welcome home in a dusty town, Mpika. Executive rooms as separate 'lodges' are of decent size, have A/C and ensuite bathrooms and flat screen TVs. Just watch the mosquitoes and dust.....

I have stayed a few nights there. Some rooms are better than other. At my first room I had a problem with the shower - it was blocked and the water trickled weakly. They didn't clean my room the next day, claiming they didn't have an additional key, as I took mine with me. But there is a TV set and a kettle to boil water. The breakfast included 2 slices of bread and an egg, sometimes the slice of tomato. Oh, and jam. The staff was nice and relatively to other places in Mpika, this lodge is probably one of the best.
