Stayed here for one night while visiting family. Sadly the room was very dated with dark colours and chipped paint. There was an overpowering smell of lavender air freshener which was so strong it was making my eyes sore. The net curtain at the window sagged on a wire and the whole room just seemed dowdy. Very disappointed. Thankfully we...

Booked via booking. Com a few weeks prior to stay. Booked a superior room as we were taking our large Labradoodle ( which I stated in the booking form) Also asked for breakfast. We go there at four o'clock having traveled from the North East. I went to check in and the lady said she had not received our booking...

We have just had two nights stay here and we're so disappointed. Although we had read some reviews before we booked we decided to give it a try as the photos looked really nice +we had dined here before. Never again, faulty towers comes to mind. On seeing our room we immediately asked if we could be upgraded to a...

We arranged to meet our friends, halfway between our respective addresses, about 50 miles each and our friends selected the venue because of its proximity to the M1. When we arrived, we were slightly ahead of our friends and the lady behind the bar was very welcoming and friendly. Our friends arrived and we were given several menus from which...

This is at least the third time that myself and my wife have visited this place, and it hasn't disappointed on any occasion. My wife has a cows milk allergy, and our waitress proved to be very helpful. It is one of the only places where my wife has been able to order a full three course meal. She would...

Gave a pre order of our meal which wasn't ready upon arrival and we had to tell our waitress that we had given a pre order in the first place, who then went and found out. Starters were delicious but I can't say the same for the mains. I ordered a fish pie that didn't have the full ingredients of...

I stayed in the hotel 2 nights, in room 58. It was close to the corridor, and stairs - I could hear people going up and down, and doors shutting (loud). The bathroom had white tiles (clean), and bath with shower. Seal around the bath was cracked, but it was clean, and there was plenty of hot water. During my...

This hotel has a lot of character and is very charming with a log fire in the bar area and very small but comfortable rooms with warmth and soft beds. I did manage to have a sunday dinner here and I liked it but the breakfast is not one of the best I have ever had although it did cater...

Stayed one night for business meeting in Leicester. Was a welcome change from the chain hotels I often use. For sure, the place does need some renovation/updating, but this is far outweighed by the ambience and helpful/friendly staff......and value pricing! I enjoyed my stay there and will come again. Only real moan I have is that they had run out...

We're very sorry that we had run out of Abbot Ale. This shouldn't have happened and we will be sure to pass your comments over to the business development manager for reviewing, and we will ensure that this doesn't happen again. However, we are so pleased that you and your party have a good time. We look forward to seeing...
