Between Clifden and Cleggan: lovely experience, fantastic breakfast, a comfortable house with large dining room and conservatory. Walk outside and down to the bottom of the garden . . . and there's Streamstown Bay (a bit of it) in front of you. All overseen by lovely French exile Odile Le Dorven (and her husband Jean, who farms oysters on the...

A warm welcome, an excellent breakfast and staff who is caring about the well—being of the guests. This are some of the elements of our enjoyable stay in this B&B which is situated in an exceptional landscape with wild coast, wonderful beaches and spectacular views.

KERMOR is a lovely place, in front of the sea ! I stayed there 2 nights in may with my sister, my cousin from Brittany... I really appreciated the house and the rooms are nice. The breakfast is one of the best I've ever had in Ireland : home made cakes, cheeses, fresh fruits..and of course traditional Irish breakfast or...

How pleasant to come across this B&B run by a very friendly French lady called Odile. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast only delicious. There was the big Irish fry plus French and Irish cheeses and a large selection of fresh fruit. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who takes the Sky Road.

We stayed at Kermor house for 5 days. Everything was great : the house, the room (butterfly room), the welcome, the breakfasts.... Very quiet situation not far away from all attractions of Connemara. The guests are mostly french speaking as Odile is french. She is really friendly and you feel as home. One advice : if you go to Connemara,...

We have just returned from a beautiful stay at Kermor. The house is situated on Streamstown Bay and at the front and back of the house were ponies in paddocks. They were very friendly and the children looked forward to seeing them each morning and evening. Odile was very friendly with an easy-going nature which made us feel very at...

Odile, her husband, and their adorable lab have a beautiful, open and airy home right on the water just north of Clifden. The rooms were big and modern, the sitting area and sun porch were heavenly. And the breakfasts were out of this world - fresh fruit, cheese, fresh baked bread, eggs to order...ahhh! A wonderful start to the day.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hello my name is Odile Le Dorven, living in Connemara for the last 38 years. Kermor is the name of the house meaning "home of the sea" in Breton. It is a big house - 6 bedroom - 6 bathroom - a big living room and turf fireplace for cosy evening. Big conservatory facing south, view on the sea, big table seating 12 persons. For wet days, TV in French and English, kitchen with loads of equipment, wasing machine, dryer, etc... Omey Island is just 5 min from Kermor, National park, Kylemore Abbey, horse riding, golfing, fishing, something to do for every one. Plenty space and freedom, inside and outside Kermor. Great feeling in Kermor. See you soon Odile ... more   less
