Although not all of the cabins are really log cabins, they are very rustic and well presented, maintained and were spotlessly clean. The kitchenette was fully stocked with very good quality pots, pans, utensils, electrical appliances and crockery. The gas cooktop was very good. The log fired pot belly stove heated the whole cabin to a very warm temperature in... More

Central location to all the walks, far enough from the "town centre" (780m) to believe you are peacefully in the middle of nowhere. So much wildlife and birds. Everything we needed, clean & comfortable. We were in number 3 (1 bedder) and I now read someone else's review from a year ago about saggy bed, but it must have been... More

Fantastic self contained cabin in the heart of the Bunya's. The booking was with LJ Hooker, they were efficient, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The 1 bedroom wooden cabin is a self contained with everything you need, it has plenty of firewood and feels like you're on an adventure in the mountains. It was private and a fun... More

Just returned from a two night weekend stay. Really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is basic accommodation but comfortable and clean and adequately equipped for self-catering stays. Wood for the fireplace and hot water were plentiful. Our cabin was #3 which is the only one bedroom cabin. More windows to take in the peaceful view would have been nice -... More

There are few places that attract us as much as Rice's Log Cabins. We keep returning to this idyllic setting of cosy cabins dotted amongst towering bunya pines and other rainforest species. The cabins are colourfully decorated in a country style and we have always found them to be very clean and comfortable. Slow-combustion fires warm the cabins in winter... More

I booked three nights accommodation for my brother and partner for their Christmas present. I had the children taken care of and it was their first time away without the children. They arrived and were told there was a problem and they were double booked!!!! My brother had to face the decision to either find alternate accommodation or to turn... More

Our first time to the Bunya mountains and we were pleasantly surprised with our accommodation. We arrived to a peaceful well kept cabin, with loads of wildlife around us. This is a great safe place for kids to run around and have fun. Puzzles restaurant , which is run by the owners of the cabins is a fantastic night out,... More

I have marked Rices Log Cabins as Very Good, but would actually choose a "Good" option, if Trip Advisor whould have it. Overall it was better than "Average", the location is Very Good, but in relation to its cleanliness, the overall experience would bring it down to 'Good'. We stayed a couple of nights and of course its location in... More

an easy 3 hour drive gets you to the bunya mountains where you can get a unique rainforest experience. Rice's cabins provide direct access to the national park walks which are fit for most age groups. At the end of the day you can retreat to the warmth of a simple but comfortably furnished cabin with a wood stove. The... More

We booked a 2 night stay in one of only 6 cottages set up in the Bunya mountains, about a 3 hour drive from Brisbane. Our cabin had 2 bedrooms, double, and bunks plus single bed in the other. The cottage was small but well stocked with all you would need for a few days stay. The main draw to... More

“LJH said all 2bedders only have a DBnot Q,but apparently 2 have QBs,don't know which. The 1br definitely has a QB,or we wouldn't have stayed”

“#3 is the only one-bedroom cabin and the only one with Queen Size Bed as the two bedroom cabins feature double beds. #5 is probably the only one I wouldn't chose as not as private as others (overlooks other cabins as more in the 'centre').”
