I wanted to stay here when visiting Palenque. Because my bus from San Cristobal was arriving late (11.30pm), I wanted to reserve in advance and also to make sure there would be someone around to check me in. Like so many others, it seems, I didn't get a response from them. The phone rings out; emails and Facebook messages went...

It is a humble but confortable little accomodation in the middle of the Chiapas jungle. Very good value for money. With widlife nearby. You can hear and see the famous Howling Apes in the mornings or evenings. Terrific experience!!! The next door restaurant Don Muchos is very good, cheap and safe, with huge portions and a very good service and...

Hard to contact for a reservation? I made ONE CALL, in the morning, and got Don Pablo. Reserved a room with AC for two nights. My name only. No credit card to hold the room. No problems. Our AC room was in a well maintained building in the back, second floor in the trees. We fell asleep and woke to...

We were planning on spending a few nights in El Panchan at Margarita & Ed's Cabanas. They have two phone numbers online and a facebook page and for two weeks we tried calling them to make a reservation but they never answered. We also tried sending them a message on their facebook page but again, no reply. Out of luck...

Our stay at Margarita and Ed's was just okay. The prices are good at MX$270 per night for a double cabana with a private bathroom, you have hot running water and access to filtered water. Also, it's kind of perfect location being halfway between the ruins and Palenque with the colectivos running pretty much all day between the two at...

After getting lots of recommendations to stay at El Panchan from fellow travelers around Mexico I looked at the reviews of Margarita and Eds on trip advisor. It is a fantastic place to stay. It's tidy and probably one of the better places to stay in El Panchan. I stayed 2 nights for 280 pesos per night and got a...

In the jungle of El Pachan, which is located right between Palenque town and the ruins (4kms each way), Margarita&Ed's Cabanas is the best place to stay. The whole place has been well maintained with a rich history of more than 20 yrs. Room is spotlessly clean, and the interior design is very elegant, rooms are surrounded by beautiful gardens...

We arrived late to Margarita & Ed's without a reservation (at around 9.30pm - our bus journey was diverted adding an extra 4 hours to the trip), but Margarita was there ready with a room. We were tired and it was HOT (around 40degrees and in humidity), so decided on a room with air conditioning. The fan was loud, but...

We stayed a few nights at M & E's after stopping in for a single night. We may have gotten the best cabana/room on the property after looking around. We had a second floor room with blessed air condition. I do not think any of the other rooms have a/c. We could not have enjoyed the evenings without it, but...
