We went to Malta to visit family and stayed in villa del porto in Kalkara a lovely little fishing village. The villa was a typical maltese house. The room we had was adequate needs a bit of revamping but clean, the breakfast was very boring the same thing each day no variety, very limited.

Aldo (think was the proprietors name) welcomed me I went up to a clean room, which was most pleasant with nice views over the harbor of Kalkara. Breakfast was passable. My only down side was road noise (I got woken up by general road noise a few times and more memorably bass cannons at 1am and a scooter with no... More

The guest house is located in a lovely location in picturesque Maltese village with reasonable transport links (bus, boat) to Valetta. Very friendly staff, good facilities and very clean & spacious rooms. Good wifi connection and great selection of TV channels. We visited in February and the room was very cold with the AC heating unfortunately not working. Very poor... More

The room was somewhat smaller than we initially expected, yet nice, cosy, and clean. The view from our balcony was beautiful. Beds were great and there was a variety of pillows to choose from. Our airconditiong worked fine during our first week, but during the second, it started leaking. It must be said that the hotel owner did everything in... More

Situated in Kalkara, next to Birgu (Vittoriosa). Very peaceful part of the city, plenty of history with superb view on the fortifications of Birgu and La Valetta. Int his part of the town there are almost no hotels (there are good restaurants though in nearby Birgu !) but considering the very historical and beautiful setting, this is very strange. We... More

This is seemed more like a B & B to me. There were both positives and negatives. 1. Location - If you are relying on buses to get around, it is quite out of the way. It took us about an extra 30/40 minutes to reach Valetta main bus port and then go from there to our destination for the... More

The hotel is in a quiet area in front of a small harbour. The room we were in was small but comfy, clean and with a beautiful view of the harbour. Breakfast on the roof is really nice, even though they don't offer much variety of foods. Staff is very nice and helpful.

One can only echo the previous reviews. Rooms 202 and 302 seem to be the largest with balconies overlooking the harbour. Road noise was not a problem, the AC worked perfectly and the views were magnificent. As we were there at Festa time there were loud bangs, fireworks and brass bands almost 24/7. The hotel was clean and efficiently run... More
