The place was wonderfull. As we booked a last minute it was only possible for one night, which is far too short for such a vey nice place. The house, with all the small details and ceramics is very interesting (good inspiration for illustrators) and the garden has many hidden corners with seats and good privacy. The dinner with Lucca...

You are welcomed to share with the family extraordinary Italian food and wine. This place is located up in the hills about 10 km from the beach in the middle of an old and very beautiful olive plantation. The house is from 16th century and the perfect prop for a movie. My highest recommendation.

Luca and his family welcomed us so warmly to this mountain oasis we will be coming back every year. We highly recommend eating here every night also as it was the best dinners we had also. Conversation was easy and they all have such a great sense of fun and humour. The location is perfect for exploration in nearby medieval...

We recently stayed here two nights! It is a lovely old, stone farmhouse, formerly an olive farm. It is off the beaten path away from the hustle and bustle but is worth finding it! The grounds are lovely and the entire area can be very relaxing if you are looking for a quite place. It is also very convenient for...

We stayed for a week at this lovely Agriturismo/farm B&B. Swam every day at the nearby beach at Castel di Tusa, dined every evening with other guests enjoying Enza's splendid cooking. This is a magical spot. Relax and do nothing if you like, or explore the roman ruins at nearby Halaesa, visit Cefalu and its magnificent Norman cathedral and Christo...

A group of friends and family joined me from the US and Europe at Casa Migliaca. It couldn't have been a more perfect location. Everyone was stunned by how beautiful the olive orchards are and the house, which has been beautifully cared for . Luca and his family couldn't have made us feel more welcome and helped fill our evenings...

We stayed for five nights with a group of ten, and could not have had a more perfect experience. Luca was extremely knowledgeable and helped us plan our days, the nearby towns were absolutely charming, and the food at the house was the best we had in our two week spin through Italy. The building and the grounds are lovingly...

At Casa Migliaca there is only one thing that can disturb the silence, and that is the cicada's. We stayed 2 nights in "Barrels room". Direct accessible from the porch, and also accessible from the kitchen. The bathroom had the same size as a normal closet, that means that everything was wet after a shower. The advantage was, that we...

We had the most wonderful 2 nights at Casa Migliaca with our 3 children. What a beautiful place! The rooms, service and surrounds were fantastic and the dinners were amazing. Most of the food we ate was grown on the property. We had good chats with Luca and Sebastiano and learnt all about the olive farming and production of olive...

An out of the way old olive mill that was transformed into a country inn that has only a few rooms. Lucca, the son handles most of the operation although there isn't really much to do but take the passports and show you the room. This is a good thing. The area is beautiful and out of the way of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Migliaca lies close to the north coast of Sicily a few kilometers away from Cefalu, between the Nebrodi Mountains and Madonie mountains. The house stays on a hill overlooking the sea on the East side of river Tusa's valley. Landscape spreads over the Tyrrhenian sea and the Nebrodi woods. The building has been constructed in the XVII century. Originally it was an oil mill, then in the early nineties has been adapted with accommodation facilities and today offers a is simple but convivial ospitality. At Casa Migliaca, lifestyle is informal, dinner is taken all together around the huge round table, once the base of the mill used to squeeze olives; the morning breakfast is free from time restrictions and each one serves himself in the ancient kitchen on the first floor. Eight rooms are available; those on the first floor of the house have ancient furnitures;.Those on the ground level maintain the original traits of the oil mill service rooms. The silted jar, the small palmento and the chestnut mezzanine are witness of the old functions. All the rooms are large and, respectful of the original architecture and volumes, bathrooms are essential, small but functional. The main building is surrounded by a 12 hectares active farm producing olive-oil and citrus fruits. ... more   less
