Three of us stayed here for one night as a base for a trip to the Punchestown Festival. The double and twin rooms were clean with comfortable beds and a shared en-suite shower room. We were made to feel very welcome by the friendly owner who will go out of his way to help in any way he can. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order (whatever you want whenever you want it) and was much better than the standard hotel buffet fare - everything was good quality, hot, and tasty. We would definitely consider returning if we repeat the trip..

What a lovely place in a beautiful surrounding. The bedroom was perfect with two giant beds. The same was breakfast. We were welcomed by a super friendly family and often remember this trip though it was very short. But our intention is clear. We`ll come back some day.

Ash House set in lush green fields with gentle rolling hills. The owners (Tony and Tracey) made us feel very welcome, and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

Blackhall is a good base to explore Dublin and the Wicklow Mountains, and there are a couple of pubs worth making the effort to visit.

In all my years of staying in B & B's and hotels I have encountered uncomfortable beds, I can accept this but I have never had an issue with the Shower water being cold. Unfortunately this happened on two occasions. The first time was in the morning around 10am, we are a party of 5 and 3 of us had showers the previous night. When my son tried to have a shower the water was stone cold. This was raised with the owner who mentioned the water is heated via a timer mechanism. The second occasion was on the morning of our check out, where at 7.00am I tried to have a shower but again stone cold. I again raised this with the owner who mentioned the water was on a timer system and was set at 7.30am. Whatever time the water is set to go on should be irrelevant, whether we have a shower at 11pm, 7am or 10am the water should be hot period. Unacceptable and I was very dissapointed, the owner didn't seem bothered and didn't apologise. A shame this ruined our stay here.

The location we stayed at is a cottage away from the main property. It is decent inside, a nice living room with TV (Netflix) and a fridge, microwave and plates and cutlery. The beds are terrible, very uncomfortable, matresses are worn out and the double bed is small my feet were touching the frame at the end of the bed and I'm barely over 6 foot. No exhaust fan working in the toilet.

We are a party of 5, there is one double and two singles in one room and and a sofa (futon) in the main room. The sink is too low, I have to bend down to rinse mouth.

Garden is nice an area to play, a swing, seasaw and a football. The location itself is pretty secluded not close to anything, Dublin is a 45 minute car ride away but it is ideal for those who want quiet and some neighboughring cows in the backgroud.

I would have ranked this at least a 3 but not having hot water on two occasions is not acceptable and no real apology from the owner who seemed rather blase and cold about it. I would not recommend this as a place to stay.

Breakfast not included.

The beds were very comfortable and room was clean and pleasant. But the bathroom was across the corridor which was a little ackward in the morning as the b and b was busy. There were no towels either to use for shower and i only discovered this on getting out. The room was far too hot at night.
By biggest disappointment was the fact that the hosts would not accommodate us in getting back to rathsallagh the next morning. Rathsallagh offer a wonderful taxi service free of charge back to b and b at night. In the mornings most b and b s will drop you back up to your car. But ash house would not even though we had to wait over an hour for a taxi. The taxi cost 35 euro.
Breakfast was wonderful

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in this large spacious comfortable house in what seems like a quiet rural area but still really near the main Waterford/Kilkenny road. The rooms were really bright and airy and we really felt we were getting the authentic Irish family welcome. We were attending the nearby Punchestown races as it's a short distance from there, and we also were able to get back there at 2am very handy from Naas after an evening out via the plentiful taxis (about 12 euro I think?). This is a very underrated part of the country and staying in Ash House , you really feel you are staying in horsey country. The proprietor does an impressive full Irish as well. Overall, a very pleasent stay and would highly reccomend...

We chose here because of the excellent reviews as well as it's proximity to Rathsallagh where our friend's wedding was. Lovely welcome and everything we might need - including an iron, upon request. Very good cooked breakfast and was much needed the day after the wedding. Tony and Theresa very friendly and would love to stay here again and explore the local area some more.

We had the 2 room suite as travelling with our 2 children. It is absolutely superb. Extremely clean, comfortable and the bedding, it's divine. I don't know what they wash with but the linen all smells beautiful. I must find out what they use. Knowledgeable of the area and places to eat. A real great find and I imagine we will stay here again

I stayed for a week at Ash House B&B as I was working nearby.

This is a great place to stay. It is clean and comfortable and the owners are very helpful and accommodating.
There was an excellent en-suite with a powerful shower and lots of fresh towels.
The breakfast was tasty and set me up nicely before leaving for a days work.
Highly recommended.

We stayed in Ash House whilst visiting family in the area. The owners Tony and Therese gave us a very warm welcome. We stayed in a double room with an en-suite, it was very clean and comfortable. The full Irish breakfast in the morning was just what we were looking for, with an added extra of homemade brown bread. This B&B is in a great location to enjoy the countryside views. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back again soon.
