Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My Dad and I found this place simply by seeing a road sign, it has become one of my favorite B and B's.
Thomas and his wife are the most gracious hosts you could ask for, they gave us advice on where to eat and where to visit in the area. The evening and morning conversations with Thomas over tea were something I truly enjoyed and look forward to in the future. They made us feel truly welcome, like old friends.
The place was immaculately clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious. The price was fantastic.

Three cyclists needed B&B for a night. Booked on the phone and shared room available. Safe storage for bicycles provided. Very reasonable rate for room and hearty breakfast the next morning. Very friendly staff.

Stayed in Delaney's last night, I cannot recommend it enough! The rooms are beautiful and so spacious. Really comfy beds and our room was spotless. Thought we wouldn't get breakfast in the morning as we woke up very late so we we're just going to leave but the very kind gentleman ( I think he runs it) made sure we had something to eat before we left. Really really friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. It was also very reasonable, 3 of us stayed and it was only €40 each with a huge breakfast! Will definitely be returning! Thank you all so much

We haved stayed at Delaney's several times, visiting family in the area. Hosts are great, as is the Irish breakfast. Dinner is available if you are tired from a day of sightseeing and don't want to drive anywhere. On a busy road but rooms are quiet and clean. Convenient place to stay for Laois.

My husband and I eat here on a regular basis, my husband most days while I am in work, and myself at least once or twice a week. The food is always fresh tasty and exactly what you ask for, if you ask for no sauce/onions/whatever they listen. The staff, chefs Luke and Mark, waitresses,Tanya and Claire are all excellent at their job, very friendly, efficient and pleasant to go into to. The owners Tom and Alice are very homely and welcoming people. This is a very homely restaurant, always spotlessly clean and the food is excellent. If you want tasty healthy, fresh food at a reasonable price in a friendly homely atmosphere, you cannot beat Delaney's

We were served a delicious lunch from a menu with super choices at very reasonable prices for Sunday lunch. There were 7 of us in the group so we had opportunity to sample most of the choices and we were very pleasantly surprised with the beautiful hot food so tastefully presented. I highly recommend Delaneys for good food and friendly service. It’s a “hidden gem” well worth visiting .
