Been several times before but not for a while. Excellent, efficient and thoughtful staff. More food than you could ever need or wish for particularly the Desserts. We went on a Friday night recently and it was much quieter than we anticipated. Perhaps the 'rush' was earlier. Nice atmosphere particularly in the Conservatory. The whole set-up here is rewarding on...

This wonderful little place is only a short drive from my home, yet I had never discovered it until recently. We stopped for coffee, had a look in the fantastic gallery and shop and did not let the rain dampen our spirits.

If you're after a quiet break with warm and friendly hosts in a remote location then look no further. Wolds village is an excellent hub for exploring North Yorkshire Moors National Park and all it has to offer. Rooms are quirky and well equipped in a rural location. Breakfast is excellent quality using local produce, only criticism is it's only...

My first visit to Wolds Village but won't be the last. Expect great hospitality from the hosts, Chris and Sally, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are themed to different periods and nicely styled. Bainton is a good base to explore the area from. Food portions are large for both evening meals and breakfasts. Chris did sort a smaller full...

Often stop as we pass and usually pretty good, however very disapointed on latest visit. Only stoped for a coffee & cake.Prices have gone up quite a bit and cake on menu did not float my boat. So ordered a wholemeal, date & waltut scone. What i got was a fruit scone, although very nice but not what I ordered....

It's a while since I've been here and regrettably it was not a patch on days gone by. The gift/craft shop was very uninspiring and tacky, whereas it used to have a lot of quite unusual and tasteful items. The antiques floor was dark, cold and completely dull with absolutely nothing of any interest - mainly seemed to be used...

You know what I just can't answer this utter nonsense, thankfully there are plenty of folk who love a browse around the four rooms of our converted stables craft & gift shop & as many who love our gallery with its huge array of choice which yes includes prints but also has local artists too plus pottery, sculpture, jewellery, bronze...

As regular visitors, straightaway we noticed prices have increased, and food portions have got smaller, presentation not as good as their previous standard---little things like cole-slaw with the side salad missing , instead lots more lettuce in a heap on the plate --not good!! Food very tasty but menu needs changing from time to time, especially the dessert menu, its...

We have had to put in a small price increase, the first one in over 3 years. Unfortunately all our costs are ever increasing & we have no choice. However, our portion sizes are no smaller than before, in fact we are told more often than not that our portions are too big!! We still serve homemade coleslaw with every...
