Cheap but the saving grace was the city of Caceres. The property was at best adequate. The place was set inside a public park and I hadn't realism that I would have to drive into the park and head for a building that could have been used as a film set for a prison. Reality check ... it was dirt cheap and handily placed on the rout in between Santander and Huelva.

At first we had read some comments about noise. We clearly mentionned it and we were promissed that it was not noisy. In fact, because of the bar downstairs, it was indeed noisy till 00h30 even with widows closed. Not optimal if you intend to wake up early to walk on the Camino. The room itself was ok, modern design, good airco. However it is more rooms above the bar, not a real hotel with corresponding services. This is why in my opinion the price is a bit too high. It was decently clean but when you look in details you see that cleaning is not done by professionals by hotel standards.

We very much enjoyed the room. Modern and clean, in an architecturally interesting building. The owner/manager was kind and accommodating. A very good alternative to the local albergue. It is, however, in a busy location, and there is a bar patio under the windows of the rooms, so ear plugs are advised if you go to bed early. Bar closes at 11 on Sunday.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived here. Not what we expected. Very reasonably priced, the accommodation was minimilistic but spotless. In the summer there is an outdoor swimming pool. Only approx 10 minutes from the A66. Would have no hesitation to use again.
