I was with a large university group at the olive branch staying in the bunkhouse. Despite being with a large group the staff treated us as individuals and welcomed us with the same warmth I would expect as a solo traveller! As a vegetarian the food was some of the best and most varied vegetarian food I've had, and made...

Myself and my wife stayed for four days in early April and had a fabulous break. We traveled from Dublin. Gary and Mel were great hosts and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was great which can include an evening meal. We had a roast beef dinner one evening which was as good as you would get...

Lovely place under the climbing crags and not too far from El Chorro. Veggie restaurant nearby but Olive Branch also serves wholesome meals. Cannot recommend the moussaka though. Camping on site and you can hire a tent. Just a great atmosphere and the owners are very welcoming too!

For a place to stay whilst climbing I cannot fault the Olive Branch. The hosts Gary & Mel are extremely friendly as are all their staff. The whole place is clean, functional and has a relaxed nice atmosphere. Simon was the chef at the kitchen during our visit and the food was outstanding!

This was our second family visit to the Olive Branch at El Chorro. Our children are 10 and 12. Once again, Mel and Gary were wonderful and caring hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. The family room is great for 2 adults and 2 children. The atmosphere us relaxed. The home cooked food,...

Our second time staying at The Olive Branch. Mel, Gary and all the volunteer staff do an amazing job. Fabulous location for some great climbing. Great chefs making very hearty meals at a reasonable price. We'll be back next year. X

The Place was located in a perfect spot to relax and climb the big rock walls behind the campsite. the downside was that the tents were not cleaned when we got there and the beds we got to sleep on did not seem very sanitary. great hang out for climbers and for people on a budget! friendly place.

What an amazing place! From the moment I arrived, I was made feel welcome by whoever was about, clients and staff alike. There seems to be an accommodation package to suit all tastes with flexibility of cooking arrangements to suit your budget/aspirations. As a visiting mum of one of the volunteer staff, I opted for one of the private bedrooms,...

It was my 1st trip to El Chorro and I wasn't sure what to expect from the B&B place, the Olive Branch. I was positively suprised to find the most adorable place to stay right at the foot of the famous rocks, the Mecca of all rock climbers. Gary and Mel were the most wonderful hosts, friendly helpful and welcoming....
