I absolutely agree with his comments re the Hibiscus Pam Motel. We booked ourselves in there though it was rather late and it was the only room left. In front of us was couple who had looked at the second to last room and just come back in while we were waiting and said he would take it. We felt...

We were in a motorhome so we only used the facilities there. Spacious and very clean kitchen with 6 cooktops.l Showers and toilets - spotless. I liked the thought of putting towels by kitchen sinks and wash basins for wiping down as I hate wet bench tops. Campgrounds were well presented and reception staff friendly and helpful.

This transit motel is clean and well presented. It is easy to find being no more than a minutes drive from Highway 1. It provides a great base for visiting attractions in Auckland and easy access to places north of the island. The complex has laundry, plunge pool, BBQ area, play area for kids. Nearby is; Chinese restaurant, grocery shop,...

If you want to experience conditions such as those on the set of Slumdog Millionaire, this is the place to be! Paper thin walls and cardboard thin ceilings, mildew in the rooms, stale smelling cupboards, a concrete bed and leaky taps were part of the experience. The most authentic aspect of my stay (comparing to Slumdog Millionaire) was the staff....

The staff at this poor excuse for a motel are totally incompetent and rude. I made a last minute booking and was told that the usual payment of a deposit to secure the booking didn't have to be made. That we could pay on arrival and would need to pay a $100 bond to cover any damage. We arrived, the...

The only good thing about this place is the situation. Other than that, the people who run it are interested in one thing and one thing only _MONEY! The place is run down, unkept, and nothing seems to work properly. It is almost impossible to get hot water running in the shower, the rooms smell musty and in the unit...

I think a person could reasonably expect to be meet with a friendly greeting when arriving at their accommodation. Not so in this case. I was on the recieving end of scowls and stern looks when I was unable to produce photo ID. [Despite already having paid a night in advance when making my booking]. That problem sorted I was...

Auckland Northshore Holiday Park. 52 Northcote Road Northcote. Auckland. What a bloody dump. I advise people that you are better off sleeping in your car. It charges 100 dollar bond, which is not written about. You are told when you get there. Your toilet and bathroom is across the road. You have to pay a dollar for a token so...

The only good thing was the location. Staff were not friendly. Bedding was smelly and very thin. Very basic amenities in the cabin. Was asked to pay $100 bond at check in (this was the first time in two weeks touring NZ) and was told when checking out that the room would be checked later and it would be refunded...

This was my first time ever travelling with a motor home / campervan and using camp grounds. Stayed overnight at a powered site. Very friendly staff, great facilities and the best part - very clean! Would stay again!
