Had a very peaceful nights stay on our way to Bilbao port, ideal stop over not far from the motorway. We stayed early October so the restaurant not open so unable to comment but looked in a lovely situation with views over the valley. Bread was available from the booking office and we were able to empty black water. Should imagine its busy during "normal" summer months. Friendly, helpful staff. Hopefully we'll be back to spend some more time in the area
- spectacular “climbing” forest (for young and old) - modest but friendly kidsanimation - beautiful mountain views - big pool with artificial flows - friendly English spekking staff - camping places with real grass
IT is a pity that during weekdays the swimming pool was closed. And the walking distance to the garbage is to far. Put some extra garbage bags in the nabourhood of the caravan places. Further everthing ok. Plus was heating in the toiletbuilding in the morning. And the help of the receptionist by finding a dentist. Regards
Having stayed at this site previously approx 6 times we once again booked for our outbound and return trips to the south of Spain traveling through France. We booked one of their premium grassed pitches as usual, which is advertised with a higher 10 amp electricity supply and once again looked forward to our stay ,however since last year we have bought a brand new van and this one has amongst other extras two air con units. We fully understand in France and Spain 10 amp will only run one unit which is fine and usually sufficient unless it is exceptionally hot, however on our outward journey having stayed at 5 previous sites en route in France the fuse kept annoyingly tripping with only one air con unit on with soft start motors drawing a maximum 5.7 amps, along with the fridge and TV,10 amp therefore should be sufficient, but it wasn't and when i reported this to the office I was told I should just keep flicking the fuse back up !!!! I am aware of how to do this however this doesn't solve the problem. It was getting late and on this occasion was becoming much cooler and so we opened the windows ,laughed it off and eventually went to bed to move on again the next day. Having stayed 3 weeks in southern Spain ( 10 amp electricity once again ) we had no further issues until our return journey and once again stayed at this site,in fact this time had pitch no 2 next to the pitch we had last time, and once again the fuse kept tripping ,except this time it was 32 degrees so air con would have been most useful. I reported to the office and explained that on no other occasions did I have this issue at any site in Spain or in France, once again they insisted it was the fault of my new van even when I assured them we had no problems elsewhere ,so we sweltered all night which annoyed me as we had paid in excess of 42 Euro's for one night on a pitch that was advertised as a premium with the extra charge for the higher amperage ! The attitude of the office was couldn't care less, its my vans fault, tell the caravan club was the reply ! very strange as they don't own the site, they inspect was the answer,I questioned if they actually tested the amperage as part of the inspection to which I was told NO they don't ! Perhaps there lies the problem,I will write to the caravan club as I am a member and suggest they do test the output rather than accept what is supposed to be the case. The moral of this story is ,ok if you don't have air con,but as many new vans do have this facility ,those that do I'm afraid will experience what I experienced and in very hot temperatures it is not ideal and certainly not after paying a premium price so I will certainly be looking elsewhere in future and have in fact found a suitable alternative site for our next journey. As more and more new vans have what we consider the norm in our cars ,it will test some of these sites, however to charge for something that clearly is not available (10 amp ) is not on at 42 Euros per night, shame but we will not return.…
Spent three nights here on pitch 5. Big flat pitch with great views. Lovely walk round site. Restaurant excellent menu and to see sun going down on snow capped hills. Very quiet this year as weather lousy.
