The "ecolodge" was about what you would expect; actually, I had been expecting worse after reading a few of the reviews/what I'd heard from friends. The showers were fine, our bungalow was cute, and the beach was super close. There was trash on the property and definitely needed some fixing up, but if you're in the mood literally for just...

We met Leon, the owner of this place, such a unique person. Its true there are a lot of things to fix and change here. Its also true, it´s such a beautiful place, without mass tourism. We stayed in a private room with an ´´eco bathroom´´, a lot of mosquitos there (believe me when I say a lot). What can I...

Stayed with my boyfriend in a basic double room with shared public bathroom. There are multiple shower and toilet stalls, some of which are latrine style and others that are your "typical" toilet. I see a lot of complaints on here about the bathrooms because you have to flush manually and put the toilet paper in a trash can, but...

Let's be honest. Such a beautiful place with such a situation worth consideration. But that's not an excuse for leaving garbages and junks all around the bungalows. Especially for a so called "eco hostal". the common toilets confirm the little interest in maintenance. Soap papers in the shower and stuck toilets prove that nobody was cleaning for the last two...

Unfortunately our stay at Casa Grillo Tres Puntas was not as we expected. It was probably one of the worst hostel experience I had so far. It started off with the booking (first by mail, never got an answer, then by phone, which then wasnt placed either ) and so when we got there we did not have a room,...

I was unfortunate enough to stay here for 2 nights as part of a tour. The location is great but that's the only good thing about this place. The rooms are very basic and dirty. The locks on the doors are not very good and I had to ask someone to open the door every time I went to the...

We spent three nights in Hostal Grillo last week, the weather was great and the sun was shining. We stayed in a private double room with shared bathroom facilities. Our room was quite big, it had a double room and a bunk bed as well as a table and a night stand. It was pretty clean when we arrived but...

Stayed there for three nights last week. the best thing about this hostel is definitely the location, right on the beach, and it has every chance of being the Paradise resort other reviews give it credit for. However I got the feeling that it's "Eco" stamp is used as an excuse for lazyness. And the seaside view from the bungalow's...

The rooms are basic and quite clean. Not the most comfortable mattresses but fine. They save water in the bathroom so there is no running water for the flush (instead a bucket that collects sink water). The breakfast is mediocre however ordered lunch etc is quite nice. The hostel has nice big grounds and is right on the beach with...

We stayed here at the weekends inbetween staying at a more expensive hotel during the week, sadly were unable to stay here for the whole holiday because I needed a reliable internet connection in order to do my work. Casa Grillo has WiFi, but only in the restaurant and did not have enough bandwidth for me to work using it....
