Ignore the bad reviews. I had a totally wonderful stay here. The accommodation is clean and modern. It is quiet and secluded with doors that open up into the untouched rainforest. For the price I paid I was pleasantly surprised with the high standards. Great value for money. Laurie and Marie were wonderful hosts! Very friendly and welcoming and informative...

This beautiful place offered a genuine rainforest experience. The rainforest completely surrounds the rooms and go to bed to the sound of the rain on the roof. Very quiet and perfect if you want to relax and unwind. The hosts, Laurie and Marie were very friendly and helpful. We were fortunate enough to see the local cassowary! Plenty of activities...

From the moment we arrived at this hotel the owner was extremely uncooperative. To begin with, he spent 15 minutes looking for our booking. we had our booking.com confirmation, but he still refused that we had a booking. We then returned to our car, sat for 5 minutes fretting and then the owner walked over to us with his diary....

Deep Forest Lodge is situated in a lovely rainforest garden, the wildlife seem very comfortable in the grounds of this tranquil setting. The beds were very comfortable and although the units are a bit tired the accommodation is priced accordingly. We mostly enjoyed having a glass of wine on the veranda in the evenings. Thanks Laurie and Marie for such...

Beautiful little unit, deep in the forest. Quiet setting with everything you need. Basic facilities but very clean. Extremely helpful owners. Would definitely go back again next time we visit Far North Queensland.

We enjoyed the Daintree Rainforest very much whilst staying at Deep Forest Lodge. The rooms are tucked away in the rainforest that provides picturesque scenery and a close to nature experience. The lodge is away from the crowds and features amazing rainforest and makes for an enjoyable experience. We saw some amazing cassowaries and scrub fowl. Laurie and Marie were...

Laurie and Marie were very pleasant and helpful. The kitchen was equipped and basic amenities were there. The accommodation can be difficult to find, particularly during the night time when there are no lights on the signboard or street lights. There is no mobile reception and although wifi can be accessed at reception, the signal was unstable. Laurie was kind to...

We stayed at this Lodge and The room was dirty. There was some sort of animal Poo on the top of the walls, we all refused to have a shower as it was dirty the soap holder had animal droppings covering the holder and the little kitchenette was just as bad the cutlery draw was covered in dirt or god...

We had a great time here for the two nights we stayed. It's right in the rainforest and with only three rooms it's a very relaxed and authentic atmosphere. The owners are lovely people, offer a lot of information and even provided us with a free ticket to use the ferry on our way back. The room had a kitchenette...

When we arrived at reception we had a very bizarre conversation with the owner who cheerfully informed us that ‘it hadn’t been busy so he hadn’t needed to clean our room.’ I couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing. When we got to the unit we found that he wasn't kidding. The floor was filthy and we had to sweep...
